Used 2017 Buick Cascada for Sale near Ithaca, NY
After making a grand re-entrance to the convertible segment for Buick last year, the Cascada will be back for 2017. A sleek European convertible with American packaging, the Cascada hails from GM's German subsidiary, Opel (which also markets the model as the Cascada), and has proven itself to be an important car for Buick. According to the automaker, demand for its Cascada has greatly outpaced supply, and 64% of Cascada buyers traded in non-GM vehicles when purchasing. With numbers like that, it's no wonder Buick feels the Cascada has earned its keep and is therefore bringing it back to the U.S. for another year.
A spunky 4-seat ragtop, the Cascada will again be offered with a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine pumping 200 hp to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. That'll return 20 mpg city/27 highway/23 combined.
While it should not see too many changes from 2016 to 2017, expect a few minor tweaks to the Cascada for the new model year. Buick has been largely mum on what these changes will be, but we expect (and hope) to see additions to the Cascada's color selections, which were a little drab and conservative last year.
The Cascada should come in 2 trims—Convertible and Premium (both of which are convertibles, actually). The base Convertible should again come in around $34,000, while the Premium will likely start around $37,000.
Choose the base trim and you'll get a stylish convertible with some serious standard equipment. Hop in and the first thing you're likely to notice is the heated leather front seats (if you're the type who wants to enjoy your convertible year-round, these could prove invaluable). You'll also get a heated steering wheel, 8-way power front seats, a backup camera, remote start, 10-inch aluminum wheels, articulating headlights, cruise control, rear park assist, and navigation. That navigation is part of Buick's IntelliLink infotainment system, which includes a 7-inch touchscreen display, AM/FM/SiriusXM radio, a USB port, Bluetooth, and voice recognition.
While the base offers some impressive luxury amenities, those desiring even more should take a look at the Premium. This trim sets itself apart with its available technology, coming as it does with Buick's Driver Confidence Package standard. That package adds forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, front and rear park assist, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlights with tunnel detection. The Premium also adds front- and rear-seat air deflectors.
On the safety front, the Cascada comes with a slew of features, including automated rollover pop-up bars, which are crucial to protecting convertible occupants during rollover crashes. Other standard safety features include dual-stage frontal and knee airbags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags (in the front seats), antilock brakes, and 5 years of OnStar service.
The Buick Cascada is a stylish convertible with impressive standard amenities. Buyers flocked to it during its first year, ditching other makes to get behind the wheel of this new convertible with distinctive European flair. If you're looking for a practical-yet-fun convertible with room for 4, the Cascada could be just the ticket.

(8 reviews)The Cascada is a pleasant enough car with some shortcomings. The visibility out is poor when the convertible top is up. The trunk has an expanding flexible bin for the top so if vanished completely under a lid when down, but trunk space and access are drastically reduced. It would be a better car with a simpler convertible top, one that stacked up and didn’t fill up half or mire if the trunk.
I love Buick placement of wipers and lights and the automatic AC after you have set temperature. Love the interior size and power adjustments for easy access. Camera with parking assist . I am very impressed after a 150 mi trip in off and on blinding rain. Island Motors made the purchase easy and spent time teaching me Navigation and some other bells and whistles I will use as I become more familiar . Good value
I Had a Chrysler Sebring convertible. It was a little bigger than the Cascada. I could at least put a set of golf clubs or a cooler in the truck. The truck in this Cascada is only 14 inches wide and will not fit a regular sized cooler. I just can’t believe the Buick engineers did not make enough room for a cooler. Half of the fun for having a convertible is to have the top down and go on a picnic. What were they not thinking!!??! However the backseats do come down which is needed so you can put a cooler on top of that. I pretty much like everything else about it but it is difficult to get in and out of the backseat, therefore it does fit four people but is a tight fit difficult to get in and out of the back. It is a nice fun ride.
I actually drove a 2016 and loved it. The price was a little high but the car was wonderful. It drove like a dream and had plenty of leg room in the front seat.
The car is a nice convertible with many nice features. However the dash seems outdated and cluttered. The rear window seems small, which wont matter with the top down. No android auto or apple .
