Inside, a stitched dashboard and a tasteful, geometric perforation pattern on the upholstery begin to create a premium experience. However, the interfaces are quite dated: the Cascada gets none of the newer, snappier wares seen on Buick’s other models and neglects to offer several of the tech features buyers expect at this price point, such as keyless start or a color instrument panel display. Meanwhile, the center is a busy grid of monochromatic buttons that contradicts the neat exterior. As a luxury car, the Cascada comes well-equipped even at its base 1SV trim. The Premium trim offers a nicer set of 20-inch wheels, front and rear air deflectors that cut down on wind resistance and noise, and fog lamps. Sport Touring gives the Cascada some extra visual aggression with a blacked out grille, black accents on the wheels, and the elimination of the exterior brightwork. Inside, there’s a set of aluminum sport pedals, a sport steering wheel, and black upholstery. For safety, every Cascada gets full tire-pressure monitoring and a reversing camera. Premium and Sport Touring tack on forward collision alert, automatic wipers, and lane-departure warning. The Cascada has not been crash tested by any external agency as of yet.
