How much does the 2017 BMW 6 Series cost?

Prices have softened 6.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 150 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare before you decide.

Is the 2017 BMW 6 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2017 BMW 6 Series earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, impressive performance, comfort, and handling, and they often describe it as a blend of sports car and luxury. That makes it a strong fit if you want a distinctive grand touring car rather than something purely practical. With 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a compelling price if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 BMW 6 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts: it is praised for being fun to drive, comfortable, and rewarding over time. The same feedback also suggests that the 6 Series can be a car you count on for a polished ownership experience, especially if you value its blend of performance and luxury. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is less about owner satisfaction and more about the cost and complexity of keeping a premium car like this in good shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW 6 Series?

At 57.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, because a luxury performance car like this can be rewarding only if it has been maintained carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW 6 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 150 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,921, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW 6 Series's resale value?

The current average of $21,923 sits slightly below last year's $23,543.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale gains may be limited unless the car is especially well kept or unusually desirable. Condition, mileage, and service history will matter a lot if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW 6 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2017 is the primary year to target. It makes sense if you value the 6 Series for its style, performance, and luxury character more than for practicality. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers a better overall deal for similar money.
