How much does the 2017 Audi Q7 cost?

There are 1,127 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2017 Audi Q7 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Audi Q7 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the luxurious interior, advanced technology, smooth ride, performance, and handling. The Q7’s redesigned cabin and added interior space also make it feel more modern and more practical, which fits well if you want a luxury SUV that emphasizes refinement and capability.

There are tradeoffs, though: some owners mention fuel consumption, the auto start/stop function, and the infotainment system’s design. Even so, the combination of strong owner satisfaction and a 33.3% good-or-great deal share makes it a compelling used buy if you value upscale comfort and road manners.

Is the 2017 Audi Q7 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Q7 as dependable, trouble-free, and a vehicle they can count on, especially when it comes to its overall refinement and capability. The expert review also points to strong mechanical and driving confidence, with smooth power delivery and a well-sorted chassis that supports long-term usability.

The Q7’s powertrain and drivetrain setup are designed for durability-minded ownership, and the available maintenance-friendly ownership experience can help reduce early hassle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure prior use and upkeep were handled carefully, since luxury-SUV repair costs can rise quickly if maintenance was deferred.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Audi Q7?

At 70.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings, because condition differences can have a big effect on ownership costs and long-term satisfaction. Focus on signs of uneven wear, electronics behavior, and how the SUV drives at low and highway speeds.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Premium starts with a panoramic sunroof, LED running and taillights, leather upholstery, automatic wipers, power-folding heated mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision warning with auto-brake, a reversing camera, 3-zone auto climate control, heated front seats with 8-way power and driver lumbar, and a 7-inch MMI display. Premium Plus adds navigation, keyless entry and ignition, a power-adjustable steering wheel, auto-dimming side mirrors, interior accent lighting, and blind-spot monitoring. Prestige adds LED headlights, a surround-view camera, a TFT display, ventilated front seats, 4-zone auto climate control, rear window sunshades, more accent lighting, an 8.3-inch display, head-up display, and a 19-speaker Bose stereo.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 4-cylinder makes 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, with 20 mpg city, 25 highway, and 22 combined. The supercharged V6 makes 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque and gives up only 1 mpg in the city and combined while delivering stronger acceleration and towing capability.
• Safety package: Standard and available safety tech includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning and mitigation, night vision, front and rear parking sensors, and Audi Pre-Sense. The base trim includes forward-collision warning with auto-brake and a reversing camera, while blind-spot monitoring appears on Premium Plus and above.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses a 7-inch Audi MMI display. Higher trims add navigation, and Prestige brings an 8.3-inch high-resolution display, head-up display, and a more advanced audio setup.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged 4-cylinder returns 20 mpg city, 25 highway, and 22 combined. The V6 sacrifices only 1 mpg in the city and combined while delivering more power.

Which 2017 Audi Q7 trim should I buy?

The 2017 Audi Q7 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the value play if you want the redesigned Q7 experience without stretching too far. You still get a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, parking sensors, forward-collision warning with auto-brake, and the 7-inch MMI display, so it covers a lot of luxury and safety basics well.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds navigation, keyless entry and ignition, a power-adjustable steering wheel, auto-dimming side mirrors, interior accent lighting, and blind-spot monitoring. If you want a more complete luxury-SUV experience without jumping to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This is the right pick if you want the most upscale equipment, including the larger 8.3-inch display, head-up display, ventilated front seats, surround-view camera, and the 19-speaker Bose stereo. It’s the most feature-rich version, but it makes the most sense if you’ll actually use the added tech and comfort upgrades.

The safety package expands as you move up the lineup, with blind-spot monitoring appearing on Premium Plus and additional camera and display tech on Prestige.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q7?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,127 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,066, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $14,066 sits slightly below last year's $15,936.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the SUV in clean condition, you’ll be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range.

Demand should remain supported by the Q7’s strong owner satisfaction and upscale reputation. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Audi Q7 safe?

The 2017 Audi Q7 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Q7 comes with a broad safety suite that includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning and mitigation, night vision, front and rear parking sensors, quattro AWD, and Audi Pre-Sense. Audi Pre-Sense can tighten the seatbelts, prime the brake lines, and close the windows and sunroof if a crash appears imminent.

One caveat is that the expert review notes the adaptive cruise and forward-collision system has previously reacted too aggressively to some road discolorations or small bumps. That doesn’t erase the Q7’s strong safety credentials, but it does mean you should test the driver-assistance systems carefully during a drive.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• After a year off, the Q7 returns with a new turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, improved technology, more interior space, a full visual redesign, and 700 pounds less curb weight.

The bottom line: The 2017 Q7 is the right choice if you want the redesigned model-year refresh, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that has already softened enough to create buying opportunities. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping carefully for a clean, well-priced example and prioritize Premium Plus trims for the best balance of equipment and value.
