How much does the 2017 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,137 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxury feel, spacious interior, and safety features, while the smooth ride and available third row make it appealing for family use. The main tradeoff is that the infotainment system can be frustrating, so this is a better fit if you value comfort, space, and safety over cutting-edge tech. With 37.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centered on the MDX’s comfort and overall quality. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and condition, since long-term ownership risk is always lower when the vehicle has been consistently cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura MDX?

At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, tires, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal past collision issues. It also makes sense to focus on cabin condition and electronics, because the infotainment system is a known pain point for some owners.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,137 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,309, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $17,309 sits slightly below last year's $18,659.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable if you buy at the wrong point in the range. On the other hand, a softer market can also help you enter at a better price, which may reduce depreciation pressure later. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you improve your odds of holding value more effectively.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,627, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,309 average.
• It emphasizes safety, athleticism, and refinement.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the stronger overall value proposition, better market availability, and the benefit of the refresh. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2016 is the better budget-minded alternative, especially if you find one in clean condition with solid maintenance records.
