Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It’s a competent, well-rounded hybrid sedan with strong space, safety, and everyday usability.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,056, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $13,733 average.
• It adds more styling polish and upgraded interior features.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,981, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $13,733 average.
• It’s the final model year of the generation and feels especially refined.

The bottom line: Choose the 2016 if you want a balanced, easy-to-live-with Camry Hybrid with stable pricing and solid market availability. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2015 is the value play; if you want the last year of the generation, the 2017 is the premium alternative.
