Used 2016 Subaru WRX STI for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2016 Subaru WRX STI cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 217 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Subaru WRX STI a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 Subaru WRX STI is built as a focused performance sedan with standard all-wheel drive, a performance-first setup, and everyday usability that still includes useful cabin equipment. It is best suited to you if you want a fast, engaging car that can still handle daily driving and harsh road conditions without losing its enthusiast character. With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Subaru WRX STI reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Subaru WRX STI’s appeal comes from its standard all-wheel drive, performance-oriented hardware, and practical daily-driver layout. Its identity is clearly centered on driving engagement rather than comfort, so you should expect a stiff ride, a tight back seat, and a trunk that is nothing remarkable. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is less about luxury-car complexity and more about finding one that has been cared for properly and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Subaru WRX STI?

At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on the drivetrain, brakes, suspension, and any signs of modification or hard use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance quality, because a performance sedan like this can vary a lot from one example to the next.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Subaru WRX STI?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 217 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,429, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Subaru WRX STI's resale value?

The current average of $20,569 sits slightly above last year's $20,539.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend usually means buyers still see value in the model, especially when supply is limited and demand stays consistent. If you keep the car in strong condition and avoid accident history, you should be in a better position to protect its value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Subaru WRX STI or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of performance, daily usability, and current market stability, the 2016 is a solid primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or cheaper example offers better overall value, but you should still prioritize condition and history over model-year differences.
