There are 518 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Porsche Cayenne earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sports car-like handling and comfortable interior, and many also view it as a good value because of its features and towing capacity. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a sporty, upscale SUV that still works as a daily driver. With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with the Cayenne described as a reliable choice in the luxury SUV class. That said, used buyers should still plan for long-term ownership risk tied to maintenance costs and verify that the vehicle has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Cayenne?

At 68% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on bodywork quality, signs of prior collision repair, and overall mechanical condition. Because maintenance costs can be high, it also makes sense to prioritize service records and look closely at how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Cayenne?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 518 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,062, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $18,066 sits slightly below last year's $20,372.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy now, your future selling price will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should hold up better than neglected ones, especially in a segment where buyers pay close attention to service records and overall presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2016 if you want the Cayenne’s core mix of performance, refinement, and value at a softer market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, nearby model years may also be worth comparing, but the 2016 stands out as a strong choice when you find a clean, well-maintained example with solid service history.
