## Why it stands out
The 2016 Nissan LEAF continues to be a notable player in the electric vehicle market due to its long-standing presence and practical features. This specific year introduces a significant upgrade in battery capacity, increasing the range to 104 miles—a 23-mile improvement over previous models. This enhancement helps alleviate concerns about "range anxiety," making it a more realistic choice for everyday drivers.
Despite being on the market for six years without a major redesign, the LEAF maintains its appeal with features like a larger touchscreen and improved onboard chargers for faster charging times, particularly in higher trims. However, it's worth noting that performance in terms of acceleration may not impress, as it typically takes the LEAF more than 10 seconds to reach 60 mph. The spacious interior, with 24 cubic feet of trunk space, adds to its practicality, making it a great companion for daily commutes and errands.

(10 reviews)Great vehicle for in town, range is limited for distance travel. Compares with Kia Soul EV but I prefer the more aerodynamic shape of the Nissan Leaf.
It looked to be in really good shape and only had 27,000 miles. I didn’t test drive it because I’ve never driven an EV and didn’t know how and I was also concerned about the charging. There are fast chargers and slow chargers, and different kinds of connections on different cars so a big learning curve.
Just drove home in this new (to me) LEAF. It is really comfy, drives smoothly, looks brand new inside! Came with 25 ft. charging cord. Bluetooth, navigation system, and looks like new tires! Registration good until June 2024. We were mostly looking at LEAFs but did inquire at a different dealer about a Kia Soul EV. The person at the dealer (Joe) was super helpful and the transaction was super easy. Thanks, Joe! Very happy with our purchase! Looking forward to putting gas money and repair costs into our savings account!
If there was an option for zero stars, I would select it. The battery life sucks. You drive 5 miles and the car docks 10. It takes 21 hours to fully charge. This car has been a big inconvenience for us. Luckily were testing this car for 7 days cause it just ruining our lives right now. We cant go anywhere or even drive more than 50mph without the car snatching miles from us. My kids school is exactly 10 miles there and back and takes 21 miles from us. Dont buy this car.
It drives well, is clean inside with plenty of space, and has a clean record! Low mileage is a plus.
