Is the 2016 Nissan 370Z a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the thrilling driving experience, nimble handling, and strong performance, and many also like that it can still work as a daily driver. For you, that means the 2016 370Z makes the most sense if you want a compact sports car that prioritizes driving enjoyment over gadgetry, especially since its appeal is rooted in its tight cockpit and enthusiast-focused character. 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Nissan 370Z reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a car that owners trust for dependable, trouble-free enjoyment over time, with the 370Z’s reputation for reliability showing up as part of its appeal. That matters if you want a used sports car you can count on without giving up the engaging feel that defines the model. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history should carry real weight.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Nissan 370Z?

At 53.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a sports car like this, since you want to check for signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any issues that could affect drivability. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the car still feels tight and well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan 370Z?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right car shows up, but you should still compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 154 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,130, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan 370Z's resale value?

The current average of $20,303 sits slightly below last year's $21,061.

That tells you the market has softened, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to sell soon. If you own one for a while and keep it in strong condition, the car’s enthusiast appeal can still support demand. The key for resale is to preserve condition, avoid neglect, and keep documentation that shows the car was maintained properly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and a focused sports-car experience, the 2016 is a solid primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years and shop for the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
