There are 810 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury, comfort, and style, along with the high-quality fit and finish and smooth handling. The updated features also stand out for shoppers who want a premium SUV that still feels practical for family use. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as reliable and safe, and owners also call out its trouble-free feel, strong long-term appeal, and overall dependability. That said, you should still budget carefully for a used luxury SUV, since long-term ownership risk can rise if maintenance has been deferred or if costly repairs have already started to surface.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service consistency. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete maintenance documentation. Focus closely on overall condition, because a luxury SUV like this can be rewarding to own only if the previous owner kept up with care and repairs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 810 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,219, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $16,277 sits slightly below last year's $18,220.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned to limit further value loss. Demand should remain supported by the model's strong owner satisfaction and premium reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2016 if you want a luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a softer price than it had a year ago. If you're especially price-sensitive, this year can make sense when you find a clean, well-documented example near the low end of the range. If you want the broadest shopping flexibility, compare it with nearby years and prioritize condition, history, and maintenance over small differences in asking price.
