How much does the 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA cost?

There are 249 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns a 4.3/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a compact luxury sedan with a strong style-first identity. The overview points to a car that gives you a coupe-like shape, an upscale feel, and a sporty, easy-to-live-with character, so it fits you well if you want premium branding and distinctive design in a smaller package. It also notes that the cabin controls can be less straightforward and that ownership can be expensive, so the CLA is best if style and brand presence matter more to you than maximum practicality. 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a car that balances style, speed, and comfort, but it also makes clear that ownership can be expensive. For used buyers, that means your long-term risk is less about the car’s personality and more about making sure maintenance history and condition are strong before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

At 49.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal how well the car has been maintained and repaired. Because the CLA is a premium compact car, you should also focus on overall condition and how the cabin controls and features function in daily use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a standout bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 249 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,029, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $12,029 sits slightly below last year's $13,366.

That price movement suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can work against you if you buy high and plan to sell soon. If you want stronger resale protection, you should focus on the cleanest, best-documented example you can find, because condition and history matter more when a model is already trending lower. A well-kept car should be easier to move later than one with questionable records or visible wear.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $12,700, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $12,029 average.
• It is the cheapest entry into the Mercedes brand.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the better current price and are willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you are more price-sensitive and want the cheapest path into the badge, the 2017 is worth a look, but you should expect to pay more than the 2016 average.
