Used 2016 Mazda CX-3 for Sale nearPittsburgh, PA

How much does the 2016 Mazda CX-3 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 207 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Mazda CX-3 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as Mazda’s small crossover with a premium feel and a sporty personality, and it was designed as a compact, city-friendly alternative for shoppers who want SUV styling without moving up in size. It also combines standard all-wheel drive with a lively driving character and a well-equipped cabin for its class, though you should expect a cramped back seat, limited cargo space, and an unintuitive infotainment interface. With 32.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Mazda CX-3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The CX-3’s appeal comes from its standard all-wheel drive, sporty driving character, and strong safety reputation, which all support confidence in day-to-day use. Its compact size and upscale presentation also make it a practical fit if you want a small crossover that feels more polished than basic transportation. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a well-kept example hasn’t been compromised by prior damage or neglected maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mazda CX-3?

At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you get too far into the process. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, especially if the listing price looks attractive, because condition matters more when prior incidents are common. Focus your evaluation on body condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the cabin and cargo area show wear that matches the mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mazda CX-3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 207 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,164, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $12,373 sits slightly below last year's $12,438.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later because it points to predictable pricing. The year-round range also shows that values have stayed fairly contained, so a clean, well-kept example should remain easier to position competitively. If you buy carefully and maintain the vehicle well, you should be able to protect more of its value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the earliest CX-3 with Mazda’s small-crossover formula and you value a sporty, city-friendly feel, the 2016 is a sensible primary choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and prioritize condition, because the best value will come from a clean example rather than the cheapest one.
