Used 2016 MINI Countryman for Sale near Nebraska

How much does the 2016 MINI Countryman cost?

Prices have softened 9.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 344 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 MINI Countryman a good car?

Generally — the 2016 MINI Countryman earns a 4.17/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Drivers most often praise its great performance, stylish design, excellent materials quality, and handling. The tradeoffs are also consistent: limited storage space and a cramped feel for taller occupants. That makes it a better fit if you want a compact SUV with personality and driving enjoyment rather than maximum practicality. With 32.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 MINI Countryman reliable?

Owners rate it 4.17/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights dependable day-to-day appeal through its strong performance, quality materials, and engaging handling, which are the kinds of traits that often support confidence over time. The same feedback also suggests the model’s compromises are more about space than durability, with limited storage and a tighter cabin being the main recurring complaints. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more likely to come from whether the vehicle fits your needs than from broad signs of poor owner experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 MINI Countryman?

At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize any listing with clean records and consistent maintenance documentation. A pre-purchase inspection is worth it here, especially if you want to check for signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, or interior condition issues. Focus on overall condition and how well the car has been cared for, since the market includes a meaningful number of vehicles with accident history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 MINI Countryman?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 344 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,060, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $10,063 sits slightly below last year's $11,152.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car stands out against the broader listing pool. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average, especially if they present cleanly and have strong service history.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.17/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.17/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the MINI personality, strong owner satisfaction, and a price that has moved lower than a year ago, the 2016 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can use the softer market to shop aggressively and compare carefully against nearby years, but the 2016 remains the most straightforward choice when you want a balance of style, value, and buyer interest.
