How much does the 2016 Lexus GX cost?

There are 467 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Lexus GX earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its luxurious features, spacious interior, reliability, all-wheel-drive capability, and off-road readiness. That makes it a good fit if you want a luxury SUV with real trail ability and a more upscale cabin than many rugged competitors. With 34.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find attractive pricing.

Is the 2016 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights reliability, overall dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. That matters if you want a used SUV you can count on over the long term, especially when shopping a vehicle with body-on-frame construction and off-road hardware.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by harder use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Lexus GX?

At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service patterns before you go any further. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has seen off-road use or higher-mileage family duty. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and how well the technology and backup camera work, since those are areas owners have flagged.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus GX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 467 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,624, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $23,825 sits slightly below last year's $24,787.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to stay realistic on asking price. If you buy well and keep the SUV in strong condition, you can help protect your exit value. The GX’s reputation for owner satisfaction should also help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 GX is a strong choice if you want a luxury SUV with real off-road capability, a comfortable cabin, and solid owner approval. If your priority is getting the best possible value, you should focus on the cleanest, best-documented example you can find rather than chasing the lowest sticker price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains appealing when you want a balanced mix of capability and comfort.
