How much does the 2016 Hyundai Genesis cost?

There are 250 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Hyundai Genesis earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It was positioned as a luxury sedan that delivered upscale features without the usual premium-brand price tag, and it offered a lot of equipment for the money while still aiming to feel like a serious midsize luxury car. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want understated luxury, a strong feature set, and a value-oriented approach to the segment. 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Hyundai Genesis was built around a new chassis, updated suspension, and a new infotainment system, all intended to improve its overall refinement and competitiveness. Its standard equipment and available features also suggest a well-developed luxury package for the model year. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific car has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up hidden wear that could undermine that upscale experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past repairs or harder use. Because this model was sold as a luxury sedan, you should also focus on whether the features and interior equipment still work as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,608, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis's resale value?

The current average of $13,282 sits slightly above last year's $13,171.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate your car’s value over time, especially if you buy at a reasonable price and keep the vehicle in strong condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Genesis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,260, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $13,282 average.
• It offers a more composed ride and handling balance.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the newer year with stable pricing and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2015 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with the older model year.
