Should I buy a 2016 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.80% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $11,475, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $12,405 average.
• It offers a more playful, rewarding driving feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around used-car choice, the 2016 is the better target because it combines solid owner satisfaction with a healthy but not overwhelming supply of listings. If your main goal is to spend less, the 2015 is the better value path, especially if you find one in good condition.
