How much does the 2016 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,959 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfortable interior, and good fuel economy, and they also value the spaciousness and useful features for daily driving. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical compact crossover with room for passengers and cargo. With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find attractive pricing.

Is the 2016 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary repeatedly points to reliability, and it also describes the CR-V as dependable and a good choice for low-cost ownership. That combination matters if you want a used SUV you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well a specific example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Honda CR-V?

At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the price looks unusually strong. Put inspection priority on body condition, signs of prior repair, and anything that suggests the vehicle has been in a collision. You should also focus on overall wear and maintenance records so you can separate a clean, well-kept example from one that only looks good on paper.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,959 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,933, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $15,294 sits slightly below last year's $15,316.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you're thinking about future resale. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate what your vehicle may be worth later, especially if you buy at a reasonable price today. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it's time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,224, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $15,294 average.
• It offers a polished, practical package with strong everyday usefulness.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $17,282, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $15,294 average.
• It adds a redesigned look with stronger all-around appeal and more modern features.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2016 if you want a balanced mix of price, satisfaction, and inventory. If you're more price-sensitive, the 2015 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer redesign, the 2017 is the upgrade path.
