How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 10.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,244 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Generally — the 4.2/5 user rating points to a well-liked SUV, especially if you want a family-focused vehicle with lots of space and everyday usefulness. Reviewers repeatedly praise its spaciousness, family-friendly features, and reliable family-vehicle appeal, while also noting its nice design. The overview also shows why it fits your needs if you want a large SUV that can carry up to nine people and handle cargo with ease. With 33.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a reliable family vehicle that many drivers feel comfortable counting on for everyday use. Reviewers also describe it as dependable for family duty, which supports the idea that it can serve well over the long haul. At the same time, some owners mention transmission concerns, so you should still approach used examples with a careful eye toward maintenance records and drivability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 55.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. A pre-purchase inspection should get priority, especially on the climate control system and transmission behavior, since those are the kinds of issues that can be costly if they were not properly addressed. Focus on overall condition and maintenance documentation, because a large SUV like this can hide expensive wear if it has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Suburban?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,244 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,280, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $17,280 sits slightly below last year's $19,200.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because this is a large family SUV with broad utility, well-kept examples should still attract interest from shoppers who need space and capability.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a roomy, family-friendly full-size SUV with modern convenience features and a market that currently favors careful shoppers. If your priority is stretching your budget, the 2015 may be worth a look for a lower entry price, while the 2017 can make sense if you want a slightly newer model-year package and are willing to pay more.
