How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 9.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,234 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable number of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, family-friendly features, and ability to work well as a reliable family vehicle. The overview also shows why it fits so many households: it is built for carrying people and gear, with up to nine-passenger seating and generous cargo space. With 30.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights it as a reliable family vehicle, and that kind of repeat praise matters when you are thinking about ownership beyond the first few months. The same reviews also point to a generally dependable experience for buyers who want a large SUV they can count on. Even so, you should weigh maintenance history carefully, because long-term ownership risk rises when a used example has been poorly maintained or shows signs of unresolved mechanical issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on the climate control system and other wear items that can be expensive to sort out in a large SUV. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the kind of family-hauling usefulness this model is known for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Suburban?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,234 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,294, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $17,304 sits slightly below last year's $19,052.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work against you if you buy at the wrong time and then try to sell soon after. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you limit depreciation if you choose carefully and hold the vehicle for several years. Strong condition and documented maintenance should matter a lot here, because future buyers will likely reward examples that look well cared for.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a large, family-focused SUV and you find a clean, well-maintained 2016 at a strong price, this model year makes sense as the primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a better-maintained or better-priced example gives you more value for the money.
