Is the 2016 Buick LaCrosse a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Buick LaCrosse earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise the comfort, safety features, and reliability, and they also highlight the smooth ride and luxurious interior. The available technology and upscale feel make it a strong fit if you want a relaxed, traditional sedan rather than something sporty.

Is the 2016 Buick LaCrosse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes reliability, along with a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience and confidence in the car over the long term. That combination suggests the LaCrosse can be a reassuring choice if you want a used sedan you can count on.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well a specific example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Buick LaCrosse?

At 58.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s structural and mechanical condition. Focus closely on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, and any issues with the cabin electronics or comfort features.

Because this model is valued for its smooth ride and upscale interior, condition matters more than chasing the lowest sticker price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Buick LaCrosse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 371 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,632, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Buick LaCrosse's resale value?

The current average of $12,055 sits slightly below last year's $12,705.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless you choose a well-kept example. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot because buyers tend to reward clean, well-documented cars.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Buick LaCrosse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $15,204, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $12,055 average.
• It brings a redesigned, more premium look and broader upscale appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2016 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling redesign and a more premium presentation, the 2017 is the better secondary path.
