How much does the 2016 Buick LaCrosse cost?

There are 367 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Buick LaCrosse a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Buick LaCrosse earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise the comfort, safety features, and reliability, and they also highlight the smooth ride and luxurious interior. The model’s relaxed, upscale character fits you well if you want a traditional sedan that prioritizes cruising comfort over sporty handling. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a solid chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Buick LaCrosse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners also describe it as reliable and appreciate its trouble-free feel, especially when paired with the car’s comfort-focused design and upscale cabin. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on it for steady everyday use if the specific vehicle has been maintained well. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about the condition of the individual car you choose.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Buick LaCrosse?

At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on body panels, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that can hint at past repairs. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a well-kept example is likely to be the better buy than a cheaper car with hidden issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Buick LaCrosse?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 367 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,631, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Buick LaCrosse's resale value?

The current average of $12,003 sits slightly below last year's $12,606.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can help you if you are shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the recent decline means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. A clean, well-kept example should still attract interest from shoppers who want a comfortable, upscale sedan at a reasonable price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Buick LaCrosse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $15,278, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $12,003 average.
• It brings a redesigned, more premium look and a broader upscale appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2016 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you are willing to spend more for a newer-feeling redesign and a more premium presentation, the 2017 is the better secondary path.
