How much does the 2016 BMW M4 cost?

Prices are up 3.67% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 207 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 BMW M4 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 BMW M4 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sharp handling, powerful performance, and stylish design, and many also like the manual transmission option and the excellent braking. For you, that means this is a compelling choice if you want a compact high-performance coupe that still feels usable on the street. With 27.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 BMW M4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights the manual transmission option for its reliability, along with the car’s strong performance and excellent braking. That combination suggests you can count on the M4 to deliver the ownership experience buyers expect, provided the car has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is buying a hard-driven example without enough service history or condition verification.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW M4?

At 53.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the brakes, suspension, steering, and any signs of aftermarket modifications. Because this is a performance car, condition matters more than mileage alone, so look closely at how the car was driven and maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 BMW M4?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 207 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.67% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 53.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,638, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 BMW M4's resale value?

The current average of $41,950 sits slightly above last year's $40,464.

That price movement suggests the market has remained supportive of this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The combination of strong owner satisfaction and steady demand can help keep the car attractive to future buyers. If you maintain the car well and keep it stock and well documented, you improve your odds of holding value. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW M4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.67% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want a high-performance M4 with strong owner approval and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition. If your priority is stretching your budget, a different year may give you more room to find a lower-priced example, but the 2016 remains a strong pick when you can find a clean, well-kept car.
