At 60.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Focus your condition check on the areas that matter most for this model: overall mechanical health, evidence of past bodywork, and whether the interior and suspension still feel tight and well cared for.

What is the 2016 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $11,191 sits slightly below last year's $12,525.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition, mileage, and service history. Well-kept examples should stand out more clearly if the broader market stays soft.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.65% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the Q5’s premium feel, solid owner satisfaction, and a softer used-market price.
