What is the 2016 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $11,500 sits slightly below last year's $11,794.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level, but it also means a future sale may need to be priced competitively if the market stays similar. For you, that suggests resale value is likely to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the car has a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,265, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $11,500 average.
• It brings a full redesign with a more modern foundation and updated technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2016 is the primary path because it combines a lower average price with strong satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling redesign, the 2017 is the better secondary path.
