Why it stands out
The 2016 Acura MDX remains a compelling choice in the luxury three-row crossover segment, primarily due to its combination of comfort, safety, and spaciousness. Noteworthy features include a robust 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 290 horsepower, paired with a newly introduced 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain offers decent acceleration and is generally satisfactory for family driving needs. The interior showcases a dual-screen infotainment system, though this has received mixed reviews from users for its complexity. Despite some concerns about transmission performance, including shifting delays, the MDX is still well regarded for its smooth ride and high-quality materials throughout. I chose this specific trim (Elite model) for comfort and well… the wide screen entertainment system for my younger kids. For a 8 year old car it drives amazingly. I have driven Hondas, Toyotas Fords but this might be the best I have owned.
