How much does the 2015 Toyota Tundra cost?

There are 1,170 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Generally — the 2015 Toyota Tundra earns 4.2/5 from owners and 7.8/10 from experts. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its power, reliability, and comfortable ride, and many also like it for towing and heavy work. The overview frames it as a full-size truck with strong presence and a TRD Pro setup that stands out, which fits buyers who want a truck that feels capable and distinctive rather than purely utilitarian. Even so, the same feedback points to fuel economy and interior features as weaker spots versus rivals.

With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary specifically highlights reliability, and it also points to a truck that feels dependable and well suited to long-term use. The expert notes reinforce that impression by describing the Tundra as dependable over time, and the cost-effectiveness notes add that Toyota includes free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles of ownership. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about higher fuel costs and the wear that can come with a hard-worked full-size truck.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Tundra?

At 55% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and evidence of hard use. Because this is a truck that may have been used for towing, hauling, or off-road driving, condition matters as much as mileage. Pay extra attention to how the truck drives, how the cabin has held up, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TRD Pro stands out with Toyota Racing Development off-roading hardware, including upgraded shocks, a higher ride height, a front skid plate, dual exhaust, and styling enhancements. It is also available on Double Cab or Crewmax versions, while the TRD Pro does not get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
• Powertrain: The TRD Pro uses a 5.7-liter V8 with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a part-time 4-wheel-drive system with Active Traction Control. It is rated at 13 mpg city and 17 mpg highway, and the expert notes call out its thirsty nature.
• Safety package: Safety Connect is not available on any Tundra. A blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert is available in some versions, but not the TRD Pro. A reversing camera is standard.
• Infotainment: The TRD Pro gets a 7-inch touchscreen with a premium version of Toyota’s Entune App Suite, plus navigation, HD Radio, traffic and weather data services, iTunes song-tagging capability, and a quick-charge USB port. It cannot be upgraded to the JBL premium audio system offered in other versions.
• Fuel efficiency: The truck is rated at 13 mpg in the city, 17 mpg on the highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2015 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Tundra is offered in 1 trim level: TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

The TRD Pro is the clear pick if you want the most distinctive Tundra, because it adds Toyota Racing Development off-road hardware, a higher ride height, upgraded shocks, a front skid plate, dual exhaust, and unique styling. It also gets the 7-inch Entune setup with navigation and connected services, which helps it feel better equipped than a stripped-down work truck. If you want the Tundra’s strongest personality and the most memorable setup, this is the one to target.

Safety-wise, the TRD Pro does not get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Safety Connect is unavailable on all Tundras.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Tundra?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,842, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $23,587 sits slightly below last year's $23,792.

That small decline suggests the Tundra has held value fairly well rather than dropping sharply. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to a market that is still willing to pay for a well-kept example. The truck’s steady pricing also suggests that condition, equipment, and history will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2015 Tundra earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and Good ratings from IIHS in all assessed categories.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety content also notes that Safety Connect is not available on any Tundra, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available only on some versions, not the TRD Pro. A reversing camera is standard, which helps with visibility in a tall truck. The main caveat is that the small overlap frontal impact test was not assessed by IIHS.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It stands out most in TRD Pro trim, with suspension upgrades and distinctive off-road styling.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $22,549, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $23,587 average.
• It feels especially well suited to real truck use.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $25,072, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $23,587 average.
• It adds an upgraded Entune system, a larger gas tank, and an integrated brake controller on upper trims.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price stability, owner satisfaction, and standout TRD Pro character, the 2015 is the main path to consider. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2014 can save you money up front, while the 2016 makes sense if you want the newer convenience updates and don’t mind paying more.

How does the 2015 Toyota Tundra compare to the 2015 Ford F-150?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota Tundra 7.8/10 and the 2015 Ford F-150 8.8/10.

The F-150 is the stronger all-around value here, with a lower average used price, better fuel economy, and a larger pool of listings to shop from. The Tundra counters with a more powerful V8, stronger towing-oriented character, and a TRD Pro setup that gives it a more distinctive personality. If you want the better bargain and broader market choice, the Ford is the easier recommendation; if you want the truck with more presence and a tougher-feeling setup, the Tundra still has appeal.
