How much does the 2015 Toyota RAV4 cost?

Prices are up 1.37% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,054 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Toyota RAV4 a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Toyota RAV4 earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, spaciousness, and impressive fuel economy. The overview also points to broad everyday appeal, with practical utility, generous cargo space, and easygoing usefulness for city and highway driving.

With 34.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Toyota RAV4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights reliability, and the model is also described as dependable and trouble-free in expert cost-effectiveness coverage. That same coverage says trouble is unlikely to find the RAV4, and it notes strong dependability and quality ratings.

Toyota also includes free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles of ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure prior wear, maintenance history, and accident history are all clean before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota RAV4?

At 51.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, repair quality, and signs of uneven wear so you can separate a clean example from one that has been repaired after a collision.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Toyota offers the RAV4 in three trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited. The top Limited trim is the one that can add the Technology Package, while the base versions miss out on the more advanced safety tech.
• Powertrain: A 176-hp, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The setup is peppy and refined, though it can feel a bit underpowered from a stop.
• Safety package: Every version gets a rear-view camera. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning are available only with the optional Technology Package on the Limited trim.
• Infotainment: The available Entune setup uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen and includes smartphone-app features, but the interface can be frustrating to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The RAV4 is estimated at 25 mpg combined, and one road test returned 26 mpg.

Which 2015 Toyota RAV4 trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota RAV4 is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point if you want the RAV4’s core strengths at the lowest cost. It gives you the practical packaging, cargo space, and standard rear-view camera without paying for extras you may not need.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience while staying below the top trim. It suits you if you want the RAV4’s everyday usefulness with a better-equipped feel.
• Limited: Choose this if you want the most upscale version and the only path to the optional Technology Package. It is the trim to target if advanced driver-assistance features matter most to you.

For safety-minded shoppers, note that the Technology Package is available only on the Limited trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota RAV4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,054 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.37% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 51.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,928, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota RAV4's resale value?

The current average of $14,646 sits slightly above last year's $14,447.

That upward move suggests the market has held steady rather than softening, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A model with stable pricing and broad shopper appeal tends to stay easier to move when you’re ready to trade it in or list it privately.

The RAV4’s practical reputation and strong owner satisfaction should help keep demand healthy. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota RAV4 safe?

The 2015 Toyota RAV4 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a four-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA, with a three-star protection rating for the front passenger in the frontal-impact assessment.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Every version gets a rear-view camera, but blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning are reserved for the optional Technology Package on the Limited trim. Active cruise control and active braking are unavailable, and Toyota’s Safety Connect telematics system is not offered on this model.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.37% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Improved crash-test ratings help this year stand out.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $13,549, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $14,646 average.
• It is a practical crossover with class-leading cargo capacity and a reputation for being dependable.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the better pick if you want the stronger overall package, better safety standing, and a model that still feels broadly appealing. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2014 is the more budget-friendly route, especially if you can find one with a clean history and solid maintenance records.

How does the 2015 Toyota RAV4 compare to the 2015 Honda CR-V?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota RAV4 7.3/10 and the 2015 Honda CR-V 8.5/10. The RAV4 brings strong cost effectiveness, good cargo utility, and a lower average used price. The CR-V counters with more power, better fuel economy, and a larger pool of listings to shop from.
