What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Camry?

At 44.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has any accident history or missing service records. Focus on condition, maintenance consistency, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re considering. If you’re comparing multiple listings, pay close attention to how much equipment changes from one trim to the next.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE starts with cloth upholstery, 16-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, a rear-view camera, and a 6-speaker infotainment setup, while the SE adds a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and sportier interior and exterior details. The XSE and XLE bring more upscale equipment, with the XSE leaning sporty and the XLE leaning comfort-oriented.
• Powertrain: The Camry lineup includes a standard 4-cylinder setup, and a more powerful 3.5-liter V6 is available on higher trims. The V6 brings stronger acceleration, while the rest of the lineup is tuned more for quiet, everyday commuting than driving excitement.
• Safety package: Toyota’s Safety Connect service is reserved for the XLE, and the Advanced Technology package adds lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and braking, and automatic high-beam control. Blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert are also mentioned on the test vehicle.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen with USB connectivity, while higher trims can get a 7-inch screen, advanced voice recognition, HD Radio, traffic and weather features, Entune App Suite, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 test car returned 22.9 mpg in mixed driving, and the expert review notes that Toyota also offers hybrid-powered versions for buyers focused on fuel economy.

Which 2015 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, XLE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused choice if you want the Camry’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get the basics that matter for daily use, including a rear-view camera and touchscreen infotainment, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a sport-tuned suspension, larger wheels, and a more distinctive look without jumping all the way to the luxury-oriented trims. Choose it if you want a little more style and road feel while staying practical.
• XSE: This trim adds a more aggressive appearance, upgraded lighting, dual-zone climate control, and a richer infotainment setup. It suits you if you want the sportiest non-V6 Camry and are willing to pay for more equipment.
• XLE: This is the comfort-first trim, with a softer ride, leather upholstery, and a more upscale cabin. It’s the right pick if you care more about refinement than sporty tuning.

Toyota’s Safety Connect service is reserved for the XLE, and the Advanced Technology package adds several driver-assistance features.

What is the 2015 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $13,110 sits slightly above last year's $12,648.

That upward move suggests the Camry continues to hold buyer interest well in the used market. When prices rise year over year, it usually means sellers have a bit more leverage, especially for cleaner examples with desirable equipment. Strong reputation and broad demand help support that pricing, and the Camry’s owner satisfaction should keep it appealing to future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The test review also notes that the lane-departure system can be intrusive, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to warning alerts.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 44.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.65% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 adds new styling, an upgraded interior, and expanded infotainment and safety technology.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,707, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,110 average.
• It emphasizes simple, sensible, affordable transportation.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,708, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,110 average.
• It offers a competent hybrid experience with strong space and balance.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, features, and broad appeal, the 2015 is the sweet spot. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 is the value play; if you want a newer hybrid-oriented setup, the 2016 is the alternative to compare.

How does the 2015 Toyota Camry compare to the 2015 Honda Accord?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota Camry 8.2/10 and the 2015 Honda Accord 8.2/10. The Camry leans more toward comfort, value, and a quiet, easygoing driving experience, while the Accord brings a slightly stronger engine and a bit more horsepower. The Camry also has the lower average used price, while the Accord has a slightly larger pool of listings and a marginally higher share of good and great deals. If you want the more relaxed, value-oriented choice, the Camry makes sense; if you want a bit more power, the Accord has the edge.
