What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Camry?

At 46.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on bodywork, alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven panel gaps or paint mismatch. You should also focus on cabin condition, brake feel, and whether the car’s features and safety systems work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE starts with cloth upholstery, steel wheels, a rear-view camera, and a 6-speaker audio system, while the SE adds a sport-tuned suspension, alloy wheels, upgraded sport fabric, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The XSE adds LED running lights, larger wheels, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, and upgraded infotainment, while the XLE swaps in a softer ride, leather upholstery, and fake wood trim. The XSE V6 and XLE V6 add the more powerful engine, a larger 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, and Entune App Suite technology.
• Powertrain: The Camry includes a 3.5-liter V6 with 268 hp in the higher-performance versions, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters. The V6 delivers strong acceleration, but the review also notes that the car is not a sport sedan and still prioritizes isolation over driving excitement.
• Safety package: Toyota’s Safety Connect service is reserved for the XLE. Blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert are present on the test vehicle, and the Advanced Technology package adds lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and braking, and automatic high-beam headlight control.
• Infotainment: The Camry uses a standard 6.1-inch touchscreen with USB connectivity, and most trims can be upgraded to a 7-inch screen with advanced voice recognition, HD Radio, predictive traffic, weather radar overlay, cache radio, and Entune App Suite. Wireless smartphone charging is also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 test car returned 22.9 mpg, and the EPA suggested 25 mpg.

Which 2015 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, XLE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, with the core comfort and convenience features you need, plus a rear-view camera and basic infotainment. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the Camry without chasing extras.
• SE: This is the best-value trim if you want a more engaging look and feel, because it adds the sport-tuned suspension, alloy wheels, and upgraded interior details without jumping all the way to the luxury-oriented trims.
• XSE: This is the right pick if you want the sportier, better-equipped Camry, since it adds LED running lights, larger wheels, dual-zone climate control, rear vents, and upgraded infotainment.
• XLE: This is the comfort-first choice, with a softer ride, leather upholstery, and a more upscale cabin treatment. It suits you best if refinement matters more than sporty tuning.

Toyota’s Safety Connect service is reserved for the XLE, so that trim has a safety-feature advantage over the others.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Camry?

Act selectively, because this is still a seller’s market and the best listings can move quickly.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,808 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.82% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 46.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,392, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $13,056 sits slightly above last year's $12,698.

That upward move suggests the Camry has held buyer interest well enough to support pricing. For a future seller, that matters because steady demand can help protect your exit value if you keep the car in good condition. The model’s reputation for reliability and low ownership costs also helps it stay appealing in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2015 Toyota Camry earns a mix of four- and five-star ratings from NHTSA, with an overall five-star rating, and the IIHS gives it a Top Safety Pick commendation. It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota’s Safety Connect service is available only on the XLE and includes automatic crash notification, emergency assistance, roadside assistance, and a stolen vehicle locator. The Camry also offers blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert, and the Advanced Technology package adds lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and braking, and automatic high-beam headlight control. One caveat from the test drive is that the lane-departure warning can be intrusive.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 46.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.82% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 update adds sharper styling, an upgraded interior, and expanded infotainment and safety tech.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,826, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,056 average.
• It’s a simpler, more affordable, and safety-focused family sedan.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,733, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,056 average.
• It adds a competent hybrid setup with broad everyday appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of style, features, and market support, the 2015 is the strongest all-around pick. If price is your top priority, the 2014 is the cheaper route into Camry ownership.

How does the 2015 Toyota Camry compare to the 2015 Honda Accord?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota Camry 8.2/10 and the 2015 Honda Accord 8.2/10. The Camry leans harder into comfort, reliability, and value, while the Accord brings a slightly stronger engine and a bit more horsepower. The Camry also has the lower average used price, while the Accord has more listings available and a slightly higher accident-free share. If you want the more value-oriented choice, the Camry makes a strong case; if you want a bit more power and a larger shopping pool, the Accord is worth a look.
