Is the 2015 Tesla Model S a good car?

Generally — the 4.33/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its performance, tech features, and cost savings on gas, and the model’s appeal is reinforced by its distinctive electric-vehicle packaging and modern-feeling cabin. For you, that means it can make sense if you want an EV that still feels innovative and quick rather than conventional. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Tesla Model S reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its capable electric powertrain and overall ownership experience. At the same time, some reviews mention battery and drivetrain concerns, so you should treat long-term ownership risk as something to evaluate carefully on a used example, especially if you plan to keep it for years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Tesla Model S?

At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on battery health, charging behavior, and drivetrain condition, since those are the areas buyers most often worry about. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a well-kept example from one that may carry hidden ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Tesla Model S?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $15,675, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $16,675 sits slightly below last year's $17,356.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you can improve your odds of holding value better than a neglected example. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Model S with strong owner approval and a softer price than a year ago, the 2015 is a sensible primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
