How much does the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 3.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,290 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Generally — the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid overall satisfaction. The overview frames it as a compact crossover that emphasizes simple mechanicals, real-world usefulness, generous ground clearance, and all-wheel-drive capability, while also noting that it sits close to the Impreza hatchback in price and below the larger Forester. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a practical small crossover with utility and winter-friendly traction rather than strong acceleration or a high-tech feel. 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a straightforward design with simple mechanicals, which can be appealing if you want a used vehicle without a lot of complexity. It also highlights practical strengths like all-wheel drive, good gas mileage, and everyday usefulness, all of which support a reputation for dependable ownership. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about sophistication and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has any accident history. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear so you can separate cosmetic issues from more serious damage. Because this model is valued for practicality and all-weather use, a careful condition check matters just as much as the price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s-market discount.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,290 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,423, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $11,645 sits slightly below last year's $12,096.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you’re thinking about future resale, the key is to buy a clean example at a fair price so you preserve as much value as possible. A well-kept Crosstrek should remain appealing to shoppers who want a practical, all-wheel-drive crossover with a reputation for usefulness.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $12,504, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $11,645 average.
• It adds more safety tech and a fresher look.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with decent deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for added safety features and a refreshed presentation, the 2016 is the better upgrade path for price-insensitive buyers.
