Is the 2015 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2015 RAM 2500 earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, durability, and spacious interior, and they also like the power it brings to both work and recreational use. That makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle demanding jobs without feeling purely utilitarian. Is the 2015 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes durability, dependable performance, and a truck that owners feel good about using for both work and recreation. That combination suggests you’re looking at a model year that many drivers trust over time, especially if you want a heavy-duty truck that can keep up with regular use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the truck’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 RAM 2500?

At 65.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, hauling, or other demanding work. Focus on overall condition, maintenance evidence, and signs of heavy use, since those factors matter more than mileage alone on a truck like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 RAM 2500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,423 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,292, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $25,999 sits slightly below last year's $27,291.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean resale gains are harder to count on in the near term. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot, because buyers in this segment tend to reward trucks that look well cared for and ready to work. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty trucks can still support value, especially when the truck presents well and has a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with high owner satisfaction, solid market availability, and a softer price trend than a year ago. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained truck rather than the newest badge alone.
