What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Lincoln MKC?

At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, safety equipment, and interior condition. Because some listings have accident history, it’s especially important to confirm that repairs were done properly and that the vehicle still feels tight, quiet, and well sorted on the road.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, since the more richly equipped versions add features like the panoramic sunroof, blind-spot and cross-traffic alerts, navigation with voice recognition, heated and cooled front seats, a hands-free liftgate, adaptive cruise with forward sensors, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam control, automatic wipers, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.
• Powertrain: The MKC uses a turbocharged 4-cylinder setup, with a 2.0-liter engine making 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque and an available 2.3-liter engine with nearly 300 horsepower and more torque. The 2.0-liter is the efficiency-minded choice, while the 2.3-liter brings stronger acceleration and a more performance-oriented feel.
• Safety package: The MKC includes stability and traction control, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, a rear-view camera, and a full set of airbags, while blind-spot monitoring, frontal-collision prevention with pre-brake, lane-keeping, and rear cross-traffic alerts are available on higher-equipped versions.
• Infotainment: The tech setup includes a THX sound system, navigation with voice recognition, and easy phone pairing, while the panoramic sunroof can brighten the cabin but may wash out the screens in strong sunlight.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter front-wheel-drive version returns 20 mpg city/29 highway, while the all-wheel-drive version is rated at 19/26. The 2.3-liter AWD setup is rated at 18/26.

Which 2015 Lincoln MKC trim should I buy?

The 2015 Lincoln MKC is offered in 1 trim level: MKC.

Here's the short version:

The MKC is best approached as a feature-driven luxury crossover, so your decision comes down less to trim shopping and more to whether the equipment on the specific listing matches what you want. If you want the strongest value, focus on a well-equipped example that includes the comfort and safety features you’ll actually use, since the more desirable options can add a lot to the ownership experience.

The safety package note is straightforward: the MKC’s standard safety equipment is solid, and the available driver-assistance features are worth prioritizing if you want a more complete used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Lincoln MKC?

If you find a listing below $9,724, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Lincoln MKC's resale value?

The current average of $9,803 sits slightly below last year's $11,010.

That decline suggests the MKC has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because the market is already pricing this model year below where it was a year ago, a clean, well-kept example should hold up better than one with accident history or visible wear. Strong equipment and a good service record can also help you stand out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Lincoln MKC safe?

The MKC earns a Good rating from IIHS and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star frontal and five-star side-impact ratings.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The MKC comes with stability and traction control, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, a rear-view camera, and a full set of airbags including driver’s knee and full-length side curtains. Available driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring, frontal-collision prevention with pre-brake, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alerts.

One caveat to keep in mind is that the NHTSA side-impact test noted the left-side passenger door opening during impact, so you should pay close attention to body integrity and repair quality on any used example.

Should I buy a 2015 Lincoln MKC or consider a different year?
