Used 2015 Lexus RX for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2015 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 1.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,009 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Lexus RX earns a 4.68/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, reliability, and solid performance, and they also like the luxurious interior and smooth ride. The RX’s practical, upscale character fits well if you want an easygoing daily driver with strong value for a used luxury SUV.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and the vehicle’s age is starting to hurt its competitiveness. Even so, the RX’s broad appeal and value-oriented positioning still make it a compelling choice for shoppers who prioritize comfort and usefulness over flash.

Only 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful comparison shopping.

Is the 2015 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.68/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable, dependable, and trouble-free, with a reputation for long-term ownership confidence. The expert evaluation also calls it dependable and notes that Lexus’s durability reputation is a major part of its appeal.

The cost-effectiveness assessment adds that the RX is basically bulletproof in terms of durability, and it also points to appealing lease and financing deals. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is age-related wear and the possibility that ownership costs can rise as the vehicle gets older.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Lexus RX?

At 50.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the available safety equipment matches what you expect from the trim you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The F Sport package adds all-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, a sport-tuned suspension, bigger wheels and tires, perforated leather upholstery, and unique styling details. It gives the RX a more assertive look and feel, but the base setup is still the better fit if you want the classic RX comfort-first personality.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 F Sport uses a 270-hp, 3.5-liter V6 with an exclusive 8-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters. The setup is tuned for stronger response, and the EPA combined-driving rating is 21 mpg.
• Safety package: The Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management suite helps stabilize the vehicle when you push it, and available safety equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot information, dynamic cruise control with pre-collision warning, and pre-collision braking. A reversing camera is standard, but rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system are not offered.
• Infotainment: The RX uses a display screen with a Remote Touch controller, and available navigation adds Lexus Enform with a 1-year trial, advanced voice commands, enhanced Bluetooth, app access, and destination services. A rear-seat entertainment system, heads-up display, and Mark Levinson audio are also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX F Sport returned 19.3 mpg in testing, versus an EPA combined rating of 21 mpg.

Which 2015 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2015 Lexus RX is offered in 2 trim levels: RX 350 and RX 450h.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the main gas model and the one most shoppers will want to focus on. It delivers the RX’s core strengths — comfort, practicality, and strong value — without pushing you into the hybrid’s added cost.
• RX 450h: This hybrid version adds performance and efficiency, but it also carries a significant price premium. It makes sense if you specifically want the hybrid powertrain and are willing to pay more for it.

The safety content also notes that the RX can be equipped with blind-spot information, dynamic cruise control with pre-collision warning, and pre-collision braking, but several newer driver-assistance features are not available.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Lexus RX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,009 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.06% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 50.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,755, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $17,233 sits slightly below last year's $17,418.

That modest decline suggests the RX is holding relatively steady rather than dropping sharply, which is a positive sign for future resale stability. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you’re starting from a market that already shows measured depreciation rather than a steep slide.

The RX’s reputation for durability and value helps support demand among used buyers. That matters because shoppers in this segment often pay attention to ownership confidence as much as equipment and comfort.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.68/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Lexus RX safe?

The Lexus RX earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA for the front-wheel-drive version, while the heavier all-wheel-drive version gets a five-star rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it the top rating of Good in four out of five crashworthiness assessments.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The RX’s standard safety equipment includes a reversing camera and Safety Connect, which automatically notifies authorities when the airbags deploy and is included for the first year of ownership. Available driver aids include front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot information, dynamic cruise control with pre-collision warning, and pre-collision braking.

The main caveat is that the RX’s safety tech roster is limited for its age. Rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system are not offered, so you should not expect the broader suite of modern driver aids found in newer luxury crossovers.

Should I buy a 2015 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.68/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert summary says age is starting to hurt competitiveness, even though the RX remains quiet, comfortable, practical, dependable, and upscale.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $22,007, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $17,233 average.
• It brings a redesigned fourth-generation look and a stronger comfort-first mission.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the smarter buy because it combines strong owner satisfaction, solid expert approval, and a lower average price. If you’re willing to spend more for the newer redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2016 is the cleaner upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2015 remains the more compelling choice.
