That decline suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can work against future sellers if prices continue to ease. Strong maintenance records and accident-free history should matter more than usual if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.11% compared with last year.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2015 if you want a full-size luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a softer price trend, especially if you can verify a clean history and solid condition. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a different year may be worth considering, but the 2015 remains a strong pick when you find a well-kept example at the right price.
