Why it stands out
The 2015 Honda Odyssey stands out by bringing more design flair to a vehicle type that is often judged mainly on practicality. Even so, it is still very much a family-focused minivan, built to serve the needs of parents and make daily life easier. It also earns praise as a safety rock star, which adds to its appeal for buyers who want a vehicle that puts family use first.
At the same time, the 2015 Honda Odyssey is not trying to disguise what it is. Its strengths are in function, usefulness, and comfort rather than style alone, and that straightforward mission is part of its appeal. Owner feedback reinforces that impression, with praise for its powerful performance, spacious interior, comfort, and family-friendly features, along with good value for the price. A few drivers did wish for additional features such as blind spot monitoring.

I have only had the car for a week but already love it. Im a mom and I have enjoyed the cargo space, the space between seats, the convenience of the sliding doors when getting kids in and out of car seats. I miss the blind spot monitoring on my 2015 CX-9 but other than that, great vehicle.

I think this car has a lot of features that benefit a family whether it is large or small. There are comfortable seats for adults or children throughout and plenty of storage for luggage even if the seats are filled with people. The car has many features that make it a great car to drive and enjoy on a road trip.

How much does the 2015 Honda Odyssey cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $12,447 |
| Year-Round Low | $11,925 |
| Year-Round High | $12,726 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $12,730 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −2.23% |
Prices have softened 2.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,862 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2015 Honda Odyssey a good car?
Yes — you’re looking at a 4.9/5 user-rated minivan with an expert rating of 7.5/10. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.
Owner feedback consistently points to powerful performance, comfort, and family-friendly features, along with a spacious interior and good value for the price. That lines up well with the Odyssey’s role as a family-focused minivan built to make daily life easier, especially if you want a practical vehicle that still feels refined. 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there’s meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.
Is the 2015 Honda Odyssey reliable?
Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner summary also emphasizes that many shoppers appreciate its good value for the price, low mileage, and overall dependable ownership experience. Expert commentary reinforces that this is a vehicle you can count on for family duty, with a focus on practical use and long-term usefulness. The ownership picture is generally reassuring, though you should still expect the usual used-minivan risk of wear from heavy family use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Odyssey?
At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has seen heavy family use. Pay close attention to body condition, interior wear, and signs of past repairs, since those can matter more than mileage alone on a minivan like this. If possible, compare multiple listings so you can separate a clean, well-kept example from one that has simply been used hard.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Touring Elite stands out for its more upscale presentation and added equipment, while lower trims are more basic in feature content. The biggest gap called out is that the Touring Elite is the only version with a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, while other trims use LaneWatch instead.
- Powertrain: The Odyssey uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 248 hp and a 6-speed automatic. It is front-wheel drive only, and the performance notes point to strong highway merging ability, refined power delivery, and a generally agreeable ride.
- Safety package: Depending on trim, you get forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and a multi-angle rear-view camera. The Touring Elite is the only trim with traditional blind-spot monitoring, which is a meaningful feature gap to note.
- Infotainment: The Touring Elite has a dual-screen infotainment setup with HondaLink first-generation connectivity, Bluetooth calling and music streaming, text messaging and email capability, plus a rear entertainment system. The system does not include HondaLink Assist, and the dual-screen layout is not especially intuitive.
- Fuel efficiency: The Odyssey is rated at 22 mpg combined, and the test-drive notes mention an observed 19.3 mpg in mixed use.
Which 2015 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?
The 2015 Honda Odyssey is offered in 1 trim level: Touring Elite.
Here's the short version:
The Touring Elite is the one to focus on if you want the most fully equipped version of this minivan. It adds the most upscale feature set in the lineup, including the rear entertainment system, the onboard vacuum, and the traditional blind-spot monitoring system that other trims do not get. If you want the best-equipped Odyssey and value convenience features for family use, this is the trim to target.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Odyssey?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.
- Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,862 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.23% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 56.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $11,925, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Honda Odyssey's resale value?
The current average of $12,447 sits slightly below last year's $12,730.
That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more affordably now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the van has been maintained. Clean history and strong equipment will matter more if you want to protect value later.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Honda Odyssey safe?
The 2015 Honda Odyssey earns five-star ratings in all impact-related tests from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS.
It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.
Depending on trim, you get forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and a multi-angle rear-view camera. The Touring Elite is the only trim that offers a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, which is a notable safety upgrade over the rest of the lineup. The safety story is especially strong here, and the crash-test results reinforce that this is one of the Odyssey’s biggest strengths.
Should I buy a 2015 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.23% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 combines strong safety, family-focused practicality, and a more design-forward take on the Odyssey formula.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $10,427, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,447 average.
- It is a broadly competent family hauler with strong safety, technology, performance, and comfort.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $13,813, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,447 average.
- It emphasizes comfort, flexibility, and family-friendly space with impressive safety ratings.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and family usefulness, the 2015 is the primary pick. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2014 is the value alternative to compare first.
