What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Odyssey?

At 55.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has higher mileage or visible wear. Focus on signs of past body damage, uneven panel gaps, interior wear from family use, and any evidence that features or electronics are not working as they should.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring Elite stands out for its more upscale feel, including a dual-screen infotainment setup, rear entertainment system, and onboard vacuum, while also adding blind-spot monitoring instead of the standard LaneWatch system. That makes it the most feature-rich choice if you want maximum convenience, but it also highlights how much equipment lower trims leave out.
• Powertrain: The Odyssey uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 248 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. It is described as refined and strong enough for highway merges and full-family duty, with an official combined estimate of 22 mpg.
• Safety package: Depending on trim, you get forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and a multi-angle rear-view camera. The Touring Elite is the only version that offers a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, replacing LaneWatch.
• Infotainment: The Touring Elite has a dual-screen infotainment system with HondaLink first-generation connectivity, Bluetooth calling and music streaming, text messaging and email capability, and a rear entertainment system. It does not include HondaLink Assist, and the dual-screen layout is described as less intuitive than it could be.
• Fuel efficiency: The Odyssey is rated at 22 mpg in combined driving, and the review notes a real-world average of 19.3 mpg during testing.

Which 2015 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Odyssey is offered in 1 trim level: Touring Elite.

Here's the short version:

The safety package is a strong selling point across the lineup, but the Touring Elite’s blind-spot monitoring gives it an extra edge over lesser versions.

What is the 2015 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $12,400 sits slightly below last year's $12,913.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now if you plan to keep the van for several years. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect value to move with condition, mileage, and equipment rather than rely on broad market appreciation.

Because the Odyssey still draws strong owner satisfaction, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends family-focused practicality with strong safety and a more stylish design than many minivans.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,628, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,400 average.
• It is a highly competent family hauler with broad everyday versatility.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,877, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,400 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, flexibility, and family-friendly space with strong safety ratings.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and family usefulness, the 2015 is the smart default. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2014 is the value play; if you want to spend more for a newer example, the 2016 is the natural step up.
