Is the 2015 Honda Fit a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Fit earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, excellent gas mileage, and impressive cargo space. The Fit is also framed as a practical, value-oriented choice that feels more like a reward than a penalty box, especially if you want a small car that is fun to drive without giving up everyday usefulness.

In use, that makes it a strong fit for you if you want an economical compact car with real utility and a distinctive personality. 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop for value.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a practical, value-oriented car that people feel good about living with over time, and the expert commentary says the Fit is expected to be very inexpensive to own and operate over time. The reliability-focused cost-effectiveness notes also describe it as nearly bulletproof in terms of reliability.

Honda’s free roadside assistance coverage for three years and 36,000 miles adds another ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well, since small-car wear and tear can show up quickly if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Fit?

At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any collision or shows signs of heavy use. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the car’s interior, electronics, and driving feel match the mileage and asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX trim adds a more polished cabin feel than the base setup, and the safety content shows that LaneWatch comes standard on the EX test car, while the base car’s feature set is less clearly equipped in the provided material.
• Powertrain: The Fit uses a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower, and the manual-transmission setup is described as especially spirited. It is also noted for strong fuel economy, with official estimates of 29 mpg city and 37 mpg highway.
• Safety package: LaneWatch is the named driver-assistance feature, using a right-side camera view on the infotainment screen, and every Fit includes a rear-view camera with a 180-degree view. Models with HondaLink also get automatic collision notification.
• Infotainment: The EX and EX-L models use a 7-inch touchscreen with smartphone-style tap, pinch, and swipe controls. HondaLink support is included, though the provided material does not mention wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The Fit is described as returning almost 35 mpg in combined driving, with official estimates of 29 mpg city and 37 mpg highway.

Which 2015 Honda Fit trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Fit is offered in 1 trim level: EX.

Here's the short version:

The EX is the trim described in the provided material, and it brings the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment setup, HondaLink connectivity, and LaneWatch. If you want the version most clearly supported by the data here, this is the one to focus on.

The safety package includes LaneWatch and a standard rear-view camera, but the LaneWatch system is described as less intuitive than a traditional blind-spot warning setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Fit?

The market leans toward a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 454 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.93% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 56.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,197, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Fit's resale value?

The current average of $11,449 sits slightly above last year's $10,808.

That upward move suggests the Fit has held demand well, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A model year that is still trading above its prior-year average usually has enough shopper interest to support resale strength, especially when it also has a reputation for practicality and value.

The Fit’s strong owner satisfaction and reputation for low ownership costs should help keep it appealing to future buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit safe?

The 2015 Honda Fit earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, with an Acceptable result in the small overlap front crash test, and a top five-star rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety equipment includes LaneWatch, which uses a right-side camera view, plus a standard rear-view camera with a 180-degree view behind the car. Models with HondaLink also add automatic collision notification.

The main caveat is that LaneWatch is not a full blind-spot monitoring system, and the IIHS small-overlap result is weaker than the rest of the crash performance. That means you should pay close attention to how the system works in real driving and make sure the car’s safety tech is something you’re comfortable using.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.93% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned 2015 Fit is described as a rare subcompact that feels more like a reward than a penalty box to own and drive.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of personality, practicality, and ownership appeal, the 2015 is the right target. If your priority is simply spending less up front, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-condition example rather than the lowest sticker price.

How does the 2015 Honda Fit compare to the 2015 Ford Fiesta?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda Fit 8.5/10 and the 2015 Ford Fiesta 7.5/10.

The Fit is the stronger all-around choice here because it combines better fuel economy, more cargo-friendly practicality, and a higher expert score. The Fiesta is cheaper on the used market, but the Fit’s stronger owner satisfaction and broader usefulness make it the more compelling pick if you want a small car that feels more rewarding to live with.
