For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the Fit’s basic durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up hidden wear from years of commuting and city use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Fit?

At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and any signs of prior repair. Because this model is valued for practicality and efficiency, condition matters a lot: a clean, well-kept example is more likely to deliver the ownership experience you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX trim adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment setup and LaneWatch, while the cabin is described as a step up in quality from the previous Fit. If you want the most useful mix of equipment without overpaying, the EX is the best-value choice.
• Powertrain: The Fit uses a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower, and it is described as spirited rather than fast. The 6-speed manual adds extra engagement, while the car also returns strong fuel economy.
• Safety package: LaneWatch comes standard on the EX test car, and the Fit also includes a rear-view camera with a 180-degree view. Models with HondaLink add automatic collision notification.
• Infotainment: The EX and EX-L use a 7-inch touchscreen, and the system is designed around smartphone-style tapping, pinching, and swiping. HondaLink connectivity is supported through a wired connection, and navigation is available as an extra-cost app.
• Fuel efficiency: The Fit is rated at 29 mpg city and 37 highway, and the test vehicle averaged 34.7 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2015 Honda Fit trim should I buy?

Here's the short version:

EX: This is the trim described in the test-drive content, and it brings the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink connectivity, and LaneWatch. It is the trim that best reflects the Fit’s tech-forward personality and practical everyday appeal.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that LaneWatch is standard here, along with the rear-view camera and HondaLink collision notification.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 439 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.65% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 56.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,197, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Fit's resale value?

The current average of $11,471 sits slightly above last year's $10,857.

That year-over-year increase suggests the Fit has held buyer interest well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A model with strong practicality, good fuel economy, and broad appeal tends to stay relevant in the used market, especially when shoppers are looking for an affordable small car that still feels useful.

The fact that the average price is still near the middle of the year-round range also suggests the market has not cooled enough to create a deep discount opportunity for sellers. If you own a clean, well-kept example, you should have a reasonable shot at attracting interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit safe?

The 2015 Honda Fit earns a Top Safety Pick from IIHS and a top five-star protection rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Fit comes standard with LaneWatch, a rear-view camera with a 180-degree view, and HondaLink models add automatic collision notification. LaneWatch is the main caveat here: it only covers the right side and is described as less intuitive than a traditional blind-spot warning system.

The IIHS result also includes an Acceptable rating in the small overlap front crash test, so that is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.65% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned 2015 Fit is described as more sophisticated while staying quirky, fun to drive, and practical.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Fit with strong owner satisfaction, good fuel economy, and a useful mix of practicality and personality, the 2015 is a solid target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest one.
