How much does the 2015 Honda Civic cost?

Prices are up 1.70% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,284 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Civic earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, user-friendly design, smooth ride, and spacious interior. That lines up well with the Civic’s role as a practical compact car for commuters and first-time buyers, especially if you want something easy to live with every day. The main tradeoff is that some owners want more power and newer-feeling features, so it fits best if you value efficiency and everyday usability over excitement.

Only 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards shoppers who compare carefully.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and the broader ownership picture also emphasizes dependable, trouble-free use over time. The test-drive notes reinforce that sense of durability by describing the Civic as a car you can count on for everyday commuting and long-term ownership. It also comes with 3 years or 36,000 miles of free roadside assistance, which adds a little extra peace of mind early in ownership.

For used buyers, the main risk is that a well-kept Civic can still hide wear from years of daily use, so condition matters more than the badge.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Civic?

At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or multiple owners. Focus on signs of uneven wear, repair quality, and whether the car still feels tight and well maintained on the road. Because this model is often bought for commuting, condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX trims are the most affordable, while higher trims add features such as the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HondaLink connectivity, automatic climate control, LaneWatch technology, push-button engine start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and aluminum wheels.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 143 hp and a CVT, and the setup is tuned for smooth, efficient everyday driving rather than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: The Civic includes a standard reversing camera, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims.
• Infotainment: Above the LX trim, you get a 7-inch touchscreen with HondaLink smartphone connectivity and services, plus Bluetooth calling and text messaging; the system also supports Siri Eyes Free with an iPhone.
• Fuel efficiency: The Civic is described as delivering fuel economy in the low 30-mpg range, with EPA combined driving at 33 mpg.

Which 2015 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Civic is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, SE, EX Sedan, and Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the least expensive path into the Civic, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and the core Civic experience without extra tech.
• SE: This trim sits above the LX and is worth a look if you want a little more equipment while staying focused on value.
• EX Sedan: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink, automatic climate control, LaneWatch, push-button start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and aluminum wheels.
• Civic Si: Choose this if you want the sportiest version in the lineup; it is the performance-tuned model and the one aimed at the most fun-to-drive experience.

LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims, so if that feature matters to you, shop accordingly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best examples still deserve quick action.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,284 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.70% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 48.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,432, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $12,290 sits slightly above last year's $12,085.

That modest increase suggests the Civic continues to hold buyer interest rather than losing value quickly. For a future seller, that’s a helpful sign: a model with steady demand is usually easier to price confidently and move without heavy discounting. The current market also shows that shoppers still respond to the Civic’s reputation for efficiency and practicality, which supports long-term appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic safe?

The 2015 Honda Civic earns a 5-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Civic comes with a standard reversing camera, and HondaLink Assist is also part of the safety story when paired and activated. LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims, giving higher trims an extra camera-based blind-spot aid on the passenger side. One caveat is that LaneWatch is not a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, so it may feel less intuitive than the setup some shoppers expect.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.70% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 Civic blends strong value, efficiency, and safety with a well-rounded everyday driving experience.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,120, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,290 average.
• It feels more refined and capable than its price suggests.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,803, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,290 average.
• It brings a more upscale feel with bolder refinement and build quality.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, efficiency, and all-around usefulness, the 2015 is the smart default. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2014 can save you money while keeping the Civic’s core strengths. If you want a more modern-feeling upgrade and can spend more, the 2016 is the better stretch pick.
