How much does the 2015 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices are up 1.46% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,834 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 8.5/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The owner feedback repeatedly highlights the smooth ride, spacious trunk, solid build quality, and comfortable, feature-rich interior. That lines up well with the CR-V’s practical, roomy, efficiency-focused setup, especially if you want a compact SUV that’s easy to live with for commuting, errands, and family use.

Only 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective even though there is decent inventory.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner summary also points to solid build quality and a reputation that many drivers associate with dependable, trouble-free ownership.

The expert review reinforces that theme by describing the CR-V as a vehicle with a strong reputation for reliability and long-term value. It also notes that Honda provides free roadside assistance for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles of ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific example has been maintained well, since condition and prior use will matter more than the model’s overall reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and any signs of prior repair. It also makes sense to focus on how the cabin, electronics, and safety systems function, since the CR-V’s appeal depends heavily on everyday usability and feature content.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds a power rear liftgate, adaptive cruise control, a forward-collision mitigation system, a navigation system, and 18-inch aluminum wheels, while the base LX is much simpler.
• Powertrain: The CR-V uses a direct-injected 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission, and the setup is tuned for smooth, peppy everyday performance.
• Safety package: Honda’s safety suite includes LaneWatch camera technology, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking; some of the more advanced features are not on every trim.
• Infotainment: The system centers on a 7-inch touchscreen and includes Bluetooth audio streaming, text-messaging support, a USB port, an auxiliary input jack, and HondaLink smartphone integration.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review notes 24.8 mpg in highway driving during testing, and it also references an EPA combined rating of 28 mpg.

Which 2015 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda CR-V is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the simplest way into the CR-V, so it makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience and safety equipment found higher up.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more of the features that make the CR-V feel well equipped without jumping all the way to the top model.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional comfort and convenience equipment.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the power rear liftgate, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision mitigation, navigation, and 18-inch wheels.

The Touring trim is the one with the fullest safety and convenience package, while the lower trims are more basic.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you should shop carefully and be ready to move when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,834 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.46% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 56.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,527, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $14,231 sits slightly above last year's $14,026.

That upward move suggests the CR-V continues to hold buyer interest well for a used compact SUV. If you’re planning to sell later, the combination of steady demand and a relatively stable price range should help support value retention.

Because the model has a strong owner satisfaction rating, it should remain appealing to used shoppers who want a practical, dependable crossover. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2015 Honda CR-V earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in every assessment except rollover resistance and front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision, where it earns four stars.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s safety suite includes LaneWatch camera technology for the right side, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking. The Touring test vehicle had all available safety features, but the review notes that LaneWatch can be complicated to use and that the lane-departure warning system can be intrusive.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.46% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 update brought revised styling, a more fuel-efficient engine, updated suspension tuning, and new safety and convenience features, including the Touring trim.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated features, strong owner satisfaction, and broad used-market availability, the 2015 is a sensible choice. If you’re mainly focused on minimizing purchase price, a nearby older year may be worth a look, but you’ll want to compare condition and equipment closely.

How does the 2015 Honda CR-V compare to the 2015 Toyota RAV4?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda CR-V 8.5/10 and the 2015 Toyota RAV4 7.3/10. The CR-V comes across as the more polished all-around pick, with stronger expert scores, better fuel economy, and a more favorable used-price position. The RAV4 is still a solid compact SUV, but the CR-V’s combination of practicality, efficiency, and market appeal gives it the edge here.
