What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Fusion?

At 53.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important here because condition can vary widely across used listings. Focus on bodywork quality, interior wear, and whether the car’s features and driver-assistance systems work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Fusion’s styling and feature content vary meaningfully by trim, so check whether the car has the equipment you want rather than assuming it’s standard.
• Powertrain: The model offers multiple engine choices, including turbocharged options and hybrid variants, so make sure the car you’re considering matches your priorities for performance and efficiency.
• Safety package: The car can include features such as a reversing camera, blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, but availability can vary by trim.
• Infotainment: The MyFord Touch system can be slow and distracting to use, so verify that the screen, controls, and connected features work properly.
• Fuel efficiency: Real-world fuel economy is described as mediocre, so check whether the car’s usage history and your driving pattern make sense for you.

Which 2015 Ford Fusion trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Fusion is offered in 1 trim level: Titanium.

Here's the short version:

The Titanium is the trim described in the expert review, and it’s the one that showcases the Fusion’s strongest mix of style, performance, and available equipment. It suits you best if you want the most upscale-feeling version of the car and are willing to accept the tradeoffs in fuel economy and control complexity. The safety package can include useful driver-assistance features, but some of them are more helpful than others.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Fusion?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,189 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,985, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $7,985 sits slightly below last year's $8,510.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a lower cost today, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot because buyers tend to pay more for cleaner examples with strong ownership records. The Fusion’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Fusion safe?

The 2015 Ford Fusion earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, with an Acceptable grade in the small overlap frontal-impact test, and a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It also earns a three-star rating for driver protection in side-impact testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford equips the Fusion with a useful set of driver-assistance features, including a reversing camera, blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Some of those systems are helpful, but the review notes that lane-departure warning can become irritating and lane-keeping assist can behave unexpectedly. The small-overlap IIHS result is the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 Fusion stands out for its stylish design, strong handling, and broad feature set.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $7,572, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $7,985 average.
• It emphasizes agile driving and a value-oriented package with strong fuel economy and a redesigned feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2015 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the more budget-friendly path.
