Summary
With 87 currently listed for sale near Naples, FL and an average price of $9,147.00, 13.8% of 2015 Ford Focus models for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Ford Focus 4.5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.33 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2015 Ford Focus stands out for its European-influenced ride and handling, which gives it a more polished feel than many shoppers might expect. It was engineered in Europe, built in Michigan, and offered in a variety of configurations, helping make it a more sophisticated small car than its everyday reputation suggests.
That character is part of what makes the 2015 Ford Focus appealing to buyers: it aims to deliver the kind of driving experience associated with a well-sorted hatchback, while still being an accessible mainstream choice. Owners also praise its comfort, style, value for money, and spaciousness. A notable drawback, however, is that some drivers have experienced issues with the automatic transmission, which has been a common concern.

A very economical car to buy , and maintain. Extremely fuel efficient and cheap to repair. Not loaded with modern technology but enough to make you comfortable. The main two issues to watch for are rust around the wheel wells and dual clutch assembly in the transmission.

I absolutely love my Ford! I fell in love with the car when I saw it. It has all the features I was looking for and is my favorite color. It’s very comfortable, cute and drives well. It’s quite sturdy, has a lot of space and does well on gas. Definitely worth the buy

How much does the 2015 Ford Focus cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $7,718 |
| Year-Round Low | $7,493.36 |
| Year-Round High | $8,208.73 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $8,210 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −5.99% |
Prices have softened 5.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,296 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.
If you find a listing below $7,493.36, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Ford Focus a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Ford Focus earns a 4.5/5 user rating, and our experts give it 6.33/10.
The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.
Owners consistently praise its comfort, style, value for money, and spaciousness, and they also like the driving experience. The overview points to a more polished, European-influenced character, which helps it fit your needs if you want a small car that feels more sophisticated than basic transportation.
That said, some owners mention automatic transmission concerns, so the appeal is strongest if you value comfort and everyday usability and are willing to shop carefully. 22.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to find a strong example.
Is the 2015 Ford Focus reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owners’ feedback points to comfort, value, and a generally satisfying ownership experience, while also flagging the automatic transmission as a recurring concern. The expert notes also suggest the car’s transmission and infotainment systems improved over time, which helps, but they still deserve attention on a used example.
The performance write-up describes the PowerShift transmission as having been a significant contributor to reduced owner satisfaction, even though it improved in this model year. The cost-effectiveness notes also suggest considering an extended warranty if the numbers make sense for you.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a neglected transmission or poorly maintained example can turn a good-value car into an expensive headache.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Focus?
At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, transmission behavior, and overall maintenance quality. Because this model has known transmission concerns, a careful test drive matters as much as the paperwork. If you’re considering a higher-trim car, make sure the added equipment actually works as intended and hasn’t been neglected.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Focus comes in S, SE, Titanium, ST, and Electric versions, with the base S trim limited to sedans. The SE is the volume choice, while Titanium adds a more upscale appearance with features like keyless access, push-button start, a keyless entry pad, remote start, one-touch operation of all four windows, and hill-start assist.
- Powertrain: Most versions use a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 160 horsepower. A 6-speed manual is standard, and a 6-speed automated manual is optional; the performance-oriented ST and the Electric model are separate exceptions.
- Safety package: Ford’s available driver-assistance tech includes blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. The car also includes a standard reversing camera and MyKey, but it does not offer forward-collision warning or automatic emergency braking.
- Infotainment: The 2015 model uses MyFord Touch rather than Sync 3. It supports phone pairing, calling, music streaming, and voice-guided navigation, but it lacks the newer system’s more modern interface.
- Fuel efficiency: The test loop returned 30.7 mpg, and the EPA combined estimate is 30 mpg.
Which 2015 Ford Focus trim should I buy?
The 2015 Ford Focus is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SE, Titanium, ST, Electric.
Here's the short version:
- S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Focus lineup and do not need extra equipment.
- SE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it opens up a broader array of options without pushing you into the pricier upper trims.
- Titanium: This is the right pick if you want the most upscale mainstream Focus, with the classier trim, sporty fog lights, chrome accents, unique wheels, and convenience features like keyless access and remote start.
- ST: Choose this if you want the performance-focused hatchback and are shopping specifically for the most powerful gas model.
- Electric: Pick this only if you want the EV version and its different ownership profile.
The safety-tech package is available on selected models, so verify whether the specific car you’re considering has the driver-assistance features you want.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Focus?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.
- Deal availability: 22.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,296 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 62.4% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $7,493.36, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Ford Focus's resale value?
The current average of $7,718 sits slightly below last year's $8,210.
That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the car has a clean history.
Because this model has a known transmission concern, well-maintained examples should hold up better in the market than neglected ones. If you keep the car in strong mechanical shape and preserve its features, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Ford Focus safe?
earns an overall rating of 5 stars from NHTSA.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Ford’s available driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. The car also includes a standard reversing camera and MyKey.
A key caveat is that buyers still cannot get forward-collision warning or automatic emergency braking, and the IIHS ratings mentioned apply only to the sedan, not the hatchback.
Should I buy a 2015 Ford Focus or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 22.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The expert summary emphasizes a refreshed, more sophisticated Focus that still stands out for its European-influenced character.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $7,103, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $7,718 average.
- It feels more substantial and composed than a typical economy car.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $8,595, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $7,718 average.
- It is refreshed and more polished while staying practical.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2015 is the primary year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2014 can save you money, while the 2016 makes sense if you want to spend more for the newer update.
