Used 2015 Chevrolet Impala for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2015 Chevrolet Impala cost?

Prices have softened 5.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 549 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise the smooth ride, roomy interior, and stylish design. The review summary also points to comfort and reliability as recurring positives, with many owners viewing it as a strong long-term ownership choice.

For everyday use, the Impala’s appeal is its calm, predictable driving character and its roomy, family-friendly layout. That makes it a sensible pick if you want a full-size sedan that feels easy to live with rather than flashy or complicated.

With 28.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to make shopping worthwhile.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable, and the review summary also highlights it as a favored choice for long-term ownership. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the car as predictable and consistent on the road, which is the kind of behavior many used buyers want from a daily driver.

The ownership picture is helped by the fact that the car is built to be comfortable and straightforward rather than demanding. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s basic dependability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by age or mileage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Chevrolet Impala?

At 53% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and any signs of prior repair. Because some listings have accident history, condition matters more than usual, especially if you want the car to feel as solid and quiet as it should.

Pay close attention to the features and equipment on the exact car you’re considering, since the Impala’s appeal can vary a lot by trim and options. A test drive should also focus on visibility, tire noise, and how the cabin feels in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car comes with the same 4-cylinder engine used in the midsize Malibu, while the 2LT and 2LTZ are the trims that bring the V6. The interior aims for an upscale look, but the execution can feel busy, and the more expensive trims are the ones that better justify the car’s styling and equipment.
• Powertrain: The available 3.6-liter V6 makes 305 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque, and it gives the car the passing power and freeway confidence that suit a full-size sedan. The 6-speed automatic is the only transmission, and the car is front-wheel drive.
• Safety package: The Advanced Safety Package includes a blind-spot monitoring system, a lane-departure warning system, a rear cross-traffic alert system, and a forward-collision warning system. Adaptive cruise control with front automatic braking is reserved for the most expensive 2LTZ setup.
• Infotainment: MyLink infotainment works with OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi, and the cabin includes three USB ports. The system also supports Pandora Internet radio and text-message readout with preset replies.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says to expect between 18 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, depending on configuration.

Which 2015 Chevrolet Impala trim should I buy?

The 2015 Chevrolet Impala is offered in 3 trim levels: LS, 2LT, 2LTZ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Impala’s roomy cabin and smooth-road character. It’s the trim to choose if you care most about value and can live without the V6.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim because it unlocks the V6 engine, which is the powertrain that best suits the car’s size and mission. If you want the strongest balance of comfort, performance, and everyday usability, this is the one to target.
• 2LTZ: This is the most upscale version and the one to consider if you want the most equipment and the available advanced safety tech. It makes the most sense if you’re shopping for a fully loaded full-size sedan rather than just the best bargain.

The safety package is available on other versions, but the most advanced front automatic braking setup is tied to the 2LTZ with the optional adaptive cruise control system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Chevrolet Impala?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 549 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,530, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $10,856 sits slightly below last year's $11,504.

That downward move suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more cheaply now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing discipline matters: a well-kept car with the right equipment and clean history should be easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear.

Because the model’s value has eased rather than surged, your best resale outcome will likely come from buying well and keeping the car in strong condition. A clean history report and good maintenance records should matter more than ever if you want to protect your exit price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Impala safe?

The 2015 Chevrolet Impala earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a Good rating in the moderate overlap frontal impact and side impact tests from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Impala includes 10 airbags and offers the Advanced Safety Package with a blind-spot monitoring system, a lane-departure warning system, a rear cross-traffic alert system, and a forward-collision warning system. Front crash prevention is rated Superior by IIHS, but the most advanced setup requires the most expensive trim and an optional package.

One caveat is that the IIHS did not test the car in every assessment, so the safety picture is not as complete as it is for some rivals. The available driver-assistance tech is useful, but some of it is tied to higher trims or extra-cost equipment.

Should I buy a 2015 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a calm, predictable driving experience with strong freeway passing power and a roomy, comfortable cabin.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $9,869, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $10,856 average.
• It stands out for especially attractive styling and a notably impressive ride-and-handling package.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2015 if you want the stronger all-around used-car case, especially with its softer pricing, solid owner satisfaction, and well-rounded comfort. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
