Why it stands out
The 2015 Buick LaCrosse stands out as a traditional large sedan that emphasizes comfort, quietness, and a relaxed driving experience. Buick’s own description of the LaCrosse family points to a pillowy soft ride, an airy cabin, a large trunk, and mechanical reliability, and those traits help explain why it appeals to buyers who want a low-cost, conventional sedan that feels substantial without chasing flash or sporty image.
For this generation, the LaCrosse returned to full-size roots with sleeker styling and a 3.6-liter 310-horsepower V6 as standard, along with front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. It also offered all-wheel drive, and the cabin brought a waterfall-style center console, a larger 15-cubic-foot trunk, a bigger back seat, ventilated front seats, a head-up display, wireless phone charging, and a partially digital instrument panel. At the same time, the generation was pricey when new and lacked some basic conveniences such as rear USB ports and auto up/down rear windows, so its appeal is strongest for shoppers who value space, comfort, and a well-equipped feel over bargain pricing or sharp driving dynamics.
Owners’ feedback reinforces that comfort-first character, with praise for the smooth ride, the V6 power, and reliability. Some also mention drawbacks such as seats that could use more padding and occasional hesitation or jerking in stop-and-go driving, which keeps the LaCrosse from feeling flawless even if it remains an appealing used sedan for the right buyer.

How much does the 2015 Buick LaCrosse cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $11,235 |
| Year-Round Low | $10,990 |
| Year-Round High | $12,314 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $12,315 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −8.77% |
Prices have softened 8.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 298 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2015 Buick LaCrosse a good car?
Generally — the 4.14/5 user rating points to solid owner satisfaction. You get a comfort-first sedan that drivers praise for its smooth ride, strong V6 power, and reliability, and the model’s roomy, upscale feel makes it a fit if you want a relaxed daily driver rather than something sporty. The tradeoff is that some owners mention seat padding and occasional low-speed drivability hiccups, so it suits you best if comfort and a substantial cabin matter more than sharp handling. With 25.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 Buick LaCrosse reliable?
Owners rate it 4.14/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback specifically calls out reliability alongside the smooth ride and strong V6, which is a helpful sign if you want a used sedan you can count on. That said, you should still expect normal used-car risk, so condition and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Buick LaCrosse?
At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
Start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of uneven wear, repair quality, or drivability issues in stop-and-go traffic. Focus on overall condition and maintenance evidence, since the best used example is likely to be the one that has been cared for consistently.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Buick LaCrosse?
This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.
- Deal availability: 25.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 298 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 8.77% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 56.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $10,990, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Buick LaCrosse's resale value?
The current average of $11,235 sits slightly below last year's $12,315.
That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to stay realistic on asking price. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect value, especially because comfort-focused sedans tend to appeal to a steady pool of shoppers. A clean history and good maintenance records should matter more if you want the strongest resale outcome later.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.14/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2015 Buick LaCrosse or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 25.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 8.77% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.14/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $10,774, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $11,235 average.
- It emphasizes composed road manners and an upscale feel.
The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-year value picture and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2015 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2014 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition with a clean history.
