How much does the 2015 BMW 5 Series cost?

Prices have softened 3.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 890 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 BMW 5 Series a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners most often praise the entertaining ride quality, robust power, and luxurious interior, and many appreciate how the different driving modes help the car feel more tailored to the moment. That makes it a good fit if you want a midsize luxury sedan that feels more engaging than a typical commuter. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 BMW 5 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to dependable-feeling performance and a car that many drivers enjoy over time, even if some report startup-related issues. That mix suggests you should focus on maintenance history and current condition, because long-term ownership risk can rise quickly if prior care has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 BMW 5 Series?

At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on startup behavior, signs of shaking, smoke, and overall mechanical smoothness. It also helps to prioritize service records, because condition and maintenance history matter a lot on a used luxury sedan like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 BMW 5 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 890 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,054, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 BMW 5 Series's resale value?

The current average of $11,194 sits slightly below last year's $11,643.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help limit how much value you lose from here if you buy carefully. For a future seller, the key will be condition, mileage, and maintenance documentation, since well-kept examples should stand out more clearly in a market with plenty of inventory. Strong owner satisfaction can also help keep demand steady when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 BMW 5 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2015 if you want a well-liked version of the 5 Series with a softer used-car price and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth cross-shopping, but the 2015 stands out as a balanced choice when you want strong owner approval and a market that still offers room to negotiate.
