What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Audi A3?

At 53.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified, heavily optioned, or shows signs of uneven wear. Focus on condition, because the best used A3s will be the ones that still feel tight, clean, and well cared for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The sedan body style is the big differentiator here, and the base car is described as a clean, understated luxury entry point. Higher-equipped examples add sport seats, Audi Drive Select, LED lighting, heated seats, keyless entry, navigation, a touchscreen, and a premium audio system, so you should check carefully for feature gaps if you’re comparing lower- and higher-equipped cars.
• Powertrain: The A3 uses a turbocharged 4-cylinder setup with quick-shifting dual-clutch behavior and available all-wheel drive. The expert notes emphasize strong low-end response, confident power delivery, and a drivetrain that feels lively in daily driving.
• Safety package: The standard setup includes six airbags, automatic pre-tensioning seatbelts, stability control, traction control, and a driver-assistance suite that can add lane-keeping assist, pre-sense front braking, and adaptive cruise control. Some advanced safety tech is tied to the technology package, so check whether a given car has it.
• Infotainment: The A3 uses a 7-inch display, Audi MMI, a touchpad-style controller, Audi Connect mobile WiFi hotspot capability, and a premium audio system. Wireless phone integration is not mentioned, so verify the exact connectivity equipment on any car you’re considering.
• Fuel efficiency: No MPG or MPGe figure is stated in the provided data.
