How much does the 2015 Audi A3 cost?

Prices have softened 10.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 472 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Audi A3 a good car?

The 2015 Audi A3 is a solid pick if you want a compact luxury sedan with upscale style and a strong value case, though it is not perfect. It earns a 3.8/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its strong engine performance, stylish design, and excellent value, especially for younger drivers. The overview also points to its AWD luxury appeal and accessible sedan packaging, which helped it hit a sweet spot for buyers who wanted something upscale without moving up in size.

Only 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you still need to shop carefully even in a favorable market.

Is the 2015 Audi A3 reliable?

The 2015 Audi A3 comes across as a car you can count on for engaging daily driving, with owners highlighting its strong engine performance and overall value. The expert review also describes it as a fun car that is well worth the money, with a drivetrain that feels polished and confidence-inspiring.

The performance notes point to a smooth engine, quick-shifting dual-clutch transmission, and AWD that puts power down with confidence. The cost-effectiveness commentary also suggests that staying away from the options list keeps the car reasonable for what you get.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium compact like this can become less appealing if prior maintenance or option-heavy equipment has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Audi A3?

At 53.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been optioned heavily or shows signs of prior bodywork. Focus on how the car presents in person, because condition and maintenance history matter more here than a simple mileage check.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport package adds sport seats, Audi Drive Select, and paddle shifters, while the Prestige package adds 18-inch wheels, summer tires, S-line exterior pieces, LED lighting, heated seats, power-folding mirrors, keyless entry, navigation, Audi Connect, voice control, a touchscreen, Bang & Olufsen audio, blind-spot monitoring, and a rear-view camera. The base setup is lighter on equipment, so feature gaps are worth checking carefully.
• Powertrain: The 2.0T quattro S tronic setup uses a 220-hp engine, AWD, and a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic. The review notes strong pull, quick shifts, and confident traction, with a slight hesitation if you floor it in Drive.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes six airbags, automatic seatbelt pre-tensioning, stability control, and traction control. The Technology package adds lane-keeping assist, pre-sense front braking, and adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring is included on the tested Prestige-equipped car.
• Infotainment: The A3 uses Audi MMI with navigation, a touchscreen, voice control, and a 7-inch display that rises from the dash. Audi Connect turns the car into a mobile WiFi hotspot via AT&T 4G LTE, and the system can upgrade both hardware and software.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review does not state MPG or MPGe figures.

Which 2015 Audi A3 trim should I buy?

The 2015 Audi A3 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T quattro S tronic and 2.0T quattro S tronic with Sport package.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T quattro S tronic: This is the trim to target if you want the core A3 experience with AWD, the 220-hp engine, and the dual-clutch automatic without paying for extra equipment. It gives you the cleanest path into the model and is the better-value choice if you care more about the car’s basic driving character than luxury extras.
• 2.0T quattro S tronic with Sport package: This version adds sport seats, Audi Drive Select, and paddle shifters, making it the better pick if you want a more engaging setup and stronger everyday comfort. It is the trim that best matches the A3’s fun-to-drive personality.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that the Technology package adds lane-keeping assist, pre-sense front braking, and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Audi A3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to compare listings, but the best examples still deserve quick action.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 472 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,800, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $9,928 sits slightly below last year's $11,033.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing means your upside is more limited unless you buy well and keep the car in excellent condition.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the A3 has strong style and premium-brand cachet. But if you overpay now, the current trend leaves less room for a strong resale return.

Is the 2015 Audi A3 safe?

The 2015 Audi A3 earns five-star ratings in all NHTSA categories except frontal impacts, in which it earns a four-star rating, and the IIHS named it a Top Safety Pick Plus.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, automatic seatbelt pre-tensioning, stability control, and traction control. The tested car also included blind-spot monitoring and a rear-view camera, while the Technology package adds lane-keeping assist, pre-sense front braking, and adaptive cruise control.

The main caveat is that the government frontal-impact result trails the rest of the crash-test performance, so you should pay close attention to condition, repairs, and any accident history when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2015 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.01% compared with last year.
• Audi’s 2015 A3 combines strong engine performance, stylish design, and a value-friendly luxury feel.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $10,930, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $9,928 average.
• It adds more standard convenience features and a more aggressive S Line look.

The bottom line: If you want the lower entry price and the core A3 formula, the 2015 is the smarter buy. If you are willing to spend more for added standard features and a fresher-feeling package, the 2016 is the better upgrade. For price-sensitive shoppers, the 2015 remains the more compelling value play.
