How much does the 2015 Audi A3 cost?

Prices have softened 9.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 485 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare against.

Is the 2015 Audi A3 a good car?

The 2015 Audi A3 is a solid pick if you want a compact luxury sedan that blends style, performance, and value, and your 3.8/5 user rating lines up with that balanced appeal. It also earns a 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners repeatedly praise the strong engine performance, stylish design, and excellent value, especially for younger drivers. The A3’s compact luxury-sedan format also fits buyers who want upscale branding and a more conventional sedan body style without moving up to a larger car.

Only 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the best examples may still require some patience.

Is the 2015 Audi A3 reliable?

The 2015 Audi A3 is presented as a well-rounded luxury car, and owners describe it as a strong-value choice with appealing performance and design. The owner feedback also points to a car you can count on for enjoyable daily driving, with the caveat that some practical annoyances can show up over time.

The expert drive notes that the drivetrain feels composed and confident, with quick-shifting transmission behavior and an AWD system that puts power down with confidence. It also describes the car as fun, while still comfortable enough to handle rough highways without beating you up.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a premium compact car can become expensive if prior maintenance was skipped or if you end up chasing age-related wear on a higher-mileage example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Audi A3?

At 55.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you get too far into the process, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks especially clean on paper. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of prior bodywork or interior wear, since the best used example is likely to be the one that has been cared for consistently.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The test car’s Sport package adds sport seats, Audi Drive Select, and paddle shifters, while the Prestige package adds 18-inch wheels with summer tires, the S-line exterior, LED lighting, heated seats, auto-dimming mirrors with heated power-folding exteriors, keyless entry, navigation, Audi Connect, voice control, a touchscreen, a Bang & Olufsen stereo, blind-spot monitoring, and a rear-view camera. The base setup leaves out much of that equipment, so you should compare feature content carefully.
• Powertrain: The A3 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with AWD and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. The drivetrain is described as quick, responsive, and confident, with stronger urgency in Sport or Dynamic modes.
• Safety package: The available Technology package adds lane-keeping assist, frontal-collision avoidance, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring and a rear-view camera are included on the test vehicle’s Prestige package, but those features are not universal across every configuration.
• Infotainment: The cabin can include Audi MMI with navigation, Audi Connect, voice control, and a touchscreen, plus a 7-inch display that rises from the dash. Audi Connect turns the car into a mobile WiFi hotspot via AT&T 4G LTE, and the system is described as easy to use and capable of hardware and software upgrades.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2015 Audi A3 trim should I buy?

The 2015 Audi A3 is offered in 1 trim level: 2.0T quattro S tronic.

Here's the short version:

The 2.0T quattro S tronic is the trim to focus on if you want the core A3 experience: turbocharged power, AWD confidence, and the dual-clutch automatic that gives the car much of its character. It also serves as the foundation for the available Sport and Prestige packages, so you can tailor the car upward if you want more comfort, tech, or appearance upgrades.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Technology package adds lane-keeping assist, frontal-collision avoidance, and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and focused on condition.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 485 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,822, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $9,933 sits slightly below last year's $10,993.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more affordably today. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing means your future resale value may depend heavily on mileage, condition, and equipment rather than just model-year desirability.

Because the year-round range runs from $9,822 to $10,991, well-kept examples with desirable options should hold up better than stripped or heavily worn cars. If you buy carefully now, you improve your odds of recovering more value later.

Is the 2015 Audi A3 safe?

The 2015 Audi A3 earns a Top Safety Pick Plus rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings in all NHTSA categories except frontal impacts, where it earned a four-star rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety content also highlights six standard airbags, including driver and passenger knee and thorax bags, plus curtain airbags, rear side airbags that can be added, automatic pre-tensioning seatbelts, and standard stability and traction control. The available Technology package adds lane-keeping assist, pre-sense front braking, and adaptive cruise control.

The main caveat is that the strongest driver-assistance features are not standard on every car, so you should verify whether a specific listing has the package you want.

Should I buy a 2015 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.64% compared with last year.
• The 2015 launch brought strong demand for the sedan body style and a compelling mix of AWD luxury and compact size.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $10,893, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $9,933 average.
• It adds more standard convenience features and a more aggressive S Line look.

The bottom line: If you want the lower entry price and are willing to inspect carefully, the 2015 is the value play. If you’d rather pay more for added standard convenience and a slightly more complete package, the 2016 is the better fit.
